I'm 31, and I'm really glad my parents and uncles all played Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath etc when I was a kid. I cant imagine a life without this music.
I wasn't raised on this, but have heard about them. My ex husband waited 40 years for Judas Priest to be close enough to go to a concert. He and my daughter were so excited for the concert tonight in Huntsville, AL and talked about it for months. 6 days ago I had to shatter her world and break the news her dad passed away in his sleep. She went tonight and was noticed by the band and had a pick tossed to her, I'm so happy she got her sign that her dad was with her ❤
Its off its head, and still, rarely is this kinda pump delivered, yet even understood...almost perfect extreme Metal...crazy huh...but on Killing Machine, there is even more shit in parts that is still unsurpassed.
Damn right! Add in the speed and intensity from Motorhead, Tank, Venom and Raven, add it to the tehcnical melodic double guitar riffing of Maiden and jPriest and add the heaviness and grit of Blitzkrieg and Venom, not to mention the double bass of jPriest, Motorhead and Venom and boom Speed metal evolves into Thrash, then Black into Thrash
This helps so much during this era of covid-19. Judas priest are using their "Firepower" from brittish steel at "rapid fire" to our ears to bring hope to us all. Long live the kings
My favorite Priest song!!! It has everything I love about metal: low power chords and ripping solos, a heavy bass line, Dave Holland's powerful drum sound, including some double kick in the middle, and of course the Metal God himself holding out that screamer at the end!!!
This song is so sick. The bridge is a great example of proto-thrash and even elements of extreme metal are included. Judas Priest was way ahead of their time.
Can clearly tell British Steel (and especially this track in particular) were a massive influence on the early-80s thrash metal scene. Metallica HAD to have been ripping this track a lot when writing Kill 'Em All. Saw Priest just last week, and they still got it after all these years. Was an unbelievable performance! Hail the Metal God! 🙌🔥🇬🇧
The Metal Gods!! This album is a KILLER!!! I wore the grooves out on this one!!! This was the best Priest Lineup so far!! Scott Travis era Priest stands on it's own,but this Incarnation informed all the others!! Dave Holland was such a Badass Drummer!
I'm seventy-seven and STEEL listening to this album. 1980 was the year that gave birth to Metal. Saw "my boy's" Iron Maiden open for Priest in 1980. First saw Maiden in 1975 at the Cart + Horses in Stratford.
Judas Priest had this drummer for a while. I think that this drummer worked perfectly with the bands formula. The drums shift gears without overdoing the double bass drums. The cymbal work is amazing. Halford, Tipton, Downing and don't forget Ian!! This band has definitely evolved into the modern day - Monsters of rock ! Thanks for setting the bar out of reach. There's many who've tried etc.... Salute !!!!!
Not just one of their best songs, rather one of the best music in general I have ever heard. The future Metal God spits the words like rapid fire bullets, Dave Holland is a virtuoso behind the drums, the guitar play just like made by Jimi Hendrix himself, the lyrics is like apocalypse. A true gem for all music lovers. It really fills me with energy.
This is my favorite song on British Steel! I thought this song cant be out done! Then Priest released Point of Entry the following year! Desert Plains! Nothing but love ❤️ this song kicks ass!
El primer álbum que conocí y escuché de Judas Priest en octubre de 1980 era un LP de un compañero de colegio, desde ahí es mi banda de heavy metal favorita... los "metal gods"
I dont remember how many times my mom used to scream through my door "turn this noise down now !!!!!" in the year of 1980 -)
Sounds like you were doing it right
Jajaja a mi también me pasó
Noise????? Come on mom!
Mom, it's not a phase. It's my life.
Lol. X2
1990 🇧🇷🇧🇷 tinha 17 anos fui no no rock in Rio realizado no Maracanã 🤘🤘 esses senhores ingleses para minha sorte estavam presente!!!! Foi FODA!!!!
Media 1980: "Metal is bound to fail"
Priest: "Hold my beer..."
People said to me in the 80's that listening to metal was just a phase, then I would grow up.
Seems that I'm still waiting to grow up! Shit...
Damn Rights!
@@HolyMuscleOfLove Same lol 😂
Haha! No shit! Priest rules!
Got that 100%, you nailed it!! April 14, 1980 British Steel revolutionized Heavy Metal, spear headed Heavy Metal's rule of the world!

You're to young for this music sorry

Tune in to some Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Nazareth, UFO

I can't believe the low count of these videos! These guys helped to shape and define metal in its infancy.
I would rather say, Judas Priest invented the term heavy metal.
I wasn't raised on this, but have heard about them. My ex husband waited 40 years for Judas Priest to be close enough to go to a concert. This particular one was so ahead of its times. Literally it has just forged the brutal genres in metal music.
You said it😁💥💥💥💥💥👍
Def a keeper.
Accept, Motorhead, Anvil, Iron Maiden and Judas Piece really paved the way for Speed Metal.
Its off its head, and still, rarely is this kinda pump delivered, yet even understood...almost perfect extreme Metal...crazy huh...but on Killing Machine, there is even more shit in parts that is still unsurpassed.
True a pioneer of thrash
British Steel, the true masterpiece.
Hell Yeah!Metal Anthems!!
Point Of Entry is their best album!
No.
The drums are furiously insane.
Human metronome
The one reason i love this song over 40 years!
Dave Holland
Fucking sickest song you guys ever did !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 25 years old, You and Maiden are my favourite bands ever
Thin lizzy...😅😅😅
This song is second to none.
Second to none......!!!!!
Second to the Green Manilishi
I see what you did there!
The 80s started soooo good
Indeed🤘🤘🤘
And then glam rock came along and shit all over real metal.

British Steel! Could be the best album, but ALL Judas albums are the best... Thank you for Metal!
Not the biggest priest but that doesn't lessen the fact that it's a classic
It's a great album.
But nothing beats "Stained Class".
Not only Priest's best album. Probably Heavy Metal's best.
The best is screaming for vengeance
@@lonestar6709 YES! Stained Class all the way!
Stained Class, Screaming For Vengeance, Defenders Of The Faith, Painkiller are better classic Priest albums, in my opinion.

After all these years, I still can’t believe how heavy this song is for the time. Definitely my favourite from this album.
