Awesome build, great work. I got some love for Kawasaki engineswaps and Betas so this is a true love affair to me. Built two Kawasaki big wheel 19/16" in the past, one fore my son and one for my wife. The one for my son featured a 4-stroke automatic. Both of them with enduro at beginners level in mind. Worked nicely.
On the cylinder water neck outlet one of the tricks employed on my Service Honda was that they turned it upside down and ran a 180 degree hose to the water pump for pipe clearance. Great build!
Incredible fabrication! Get that front end on it and check pipe to tire clearance at full compression. Personally i would at a minimum pull the cylinder and check the piston and crank. At a further date if you want to mod that engine cal Adam Millar of MRE up in Canada. He is a 500 guru.
There is a crossover tube that connects the top of both radiators together. It's kinda hard to see because the tube goes through the frame. The coolant will flow from the engine into the bottom of the radiator, up the radiator and out into the top of the other radiator and then back down to the engine.
Nice build this is Larry Blose ,Jason's dad I think you stopped at my shop when I had the tool repair business and built hot rods. I'm into vintage racing and have 2 hodaka Super Rats I'd like to make sure they run ok and shift fine but nowhere to try them now that I live in town.
Really diggin the build, it is like it was meant to be. Just a suggestion, it would be cool to see the plastics done in the fluoro yellow which has a bright green sort of look, I know Rtech has plastic in that colour to fit Beta motorcycles. Would be like a kind of homage to the KX side of the bike but still factory Beta colour. I would do the frame the same colour as the plastics too myself. Cheers and look forward to the next instalment.
Props to your work bro.. A little here to consider for a refined package. Today, cylinder head stays are designed to tune frame flex character. Middle material removal(V) would refine yours for the better. IMHO, that there skid plate is a maintenance cluster and designed for extreme boulder fields. Frame case guards(ears) of 180* small tubing is what Kawi used for both sides of the KDX frames. Clean look and strong. Considering a silencers core diameter and length are very specific to individual engine size and pipe specs. A 300 core size is usually 250 sized...take a look at the 500 silencer core diameter and length. There for, you'll be making too much back pressure coupled to that Gnarly low/mid pipe. Top that off with the KX power valve for optimized low end. You'll be all set for pulling stumps at the ole homestead and that's it.
Artistry and craftsmanship. All for a super fun project!
You do some great fabrication sir, she's looking good
Nasty little engine
Incredibly impressive!

Fantastic fabrication... excellent job
Thanks for sharing the details of the build
Super cool build!! Excellent work as well!!

Fantastic project and viewing.

Amazing fabrication work!!
Won't you still have to link the radiators together for it to cycle water right?

Wow! Impressive!
Adam, your a magician 🏁
I watched the original video of this 500 Beta build . I have been curious about it’s progress! 👍

Tom Morgan is a good guy for Kawasaki KX5 motors. He used to be a Wardy's factory mechanic back in the hay day.
amazing
Spend the money, get it rebuilt...
great work i think you will be very buisy in the future making those exhausts maybe a jig will be needed
Great build but chewing the gum wis so annoying bro cant wait tae see it fully done 😂
