A snowstorm hits during construction of my DIY travel trailer. Thanks to my wood stove I am able to keep working inside and begin the shower construction. A nice size shower inside a 12'x7' trailer will be a nice luxury.

A real shower in a trailer is a huge plus. Being able to get clean after a fun day makes a trip so much more enjoyable.

I used sheet vinyl waterproof flooring for the walls in my travel trailer walls just put some construction adhesive on the walls and pressed the entire sheet onto the walls using a rubber roller to help with adhesion. so far it works great no leaks or anything.

Your detail, tenacity, and patience to show all of the steps are very fun to watch. I’m building a camper top for a military trailer, your videos are very helpful and motivating 💪

Not only would tile add extra weight I think it would crack and fall apart with the movement of the trailer on the road. Great video series... Just subbed.

Tile??? That could be a lot of extra weight. I would recommend FRP board inside the shower room. They come in 4x8 sheets for about $80 at home depot. You use construction adhesive to glue them to the plywood. Easy to clean as well. Cheers.

With FRP Pannels use FRP adhesive on unpainted 3/8 plywood.

I think your shower build is great. If l might, my brother when building a shower stall would use green backed sheet rock to resist moisture. That is a good for research and thought, for my possible build.

You'll be done soon! It looks great. I would have done a few things differently(minor), no criticism is implied. I built commercial aircraft for 12 years and am a aircraft mechanic, so I have some unusual experience. Keep on going, you're doing fine. Remember it's just a simple trailer.

Could have used pvc pipe for under the shower and this would allow 100% waterproofing and you can pass wires threw it after install , just a tip , the covering you used has a slice so not water tight and also additional wires cant be fished if ever you have to repair or add to ....im gathering as much info as i can before i build mine and im very impressed with your build so far 👍👍 i only mention the pvc because i do renovations and when ever i finish a basement i run pvc threw the cieling with string lines fished threw so i can fish wires after with no isues , most times from the electrical panel to the furnace room . Last house i did they decided to add a room on the back of the house and the electrician was very happy he didnt have to rip open the new finished cieling in the basement to run lines .....

Aluminum Composite Panel would have been a better choice, it's cheap and easy to work and waterproof. It can also be cut, sawn, folded, drilled very easily and it's quite strong.

Nice build. A tip though use blue XPS foam. You will have twice or three times the rigidity and it´s not sucking up water like the white foam.

I dont know if you are beyond this or not. Take a look at kurdy schluter products for water proofing showers before you tile.

How do you handle the wood stove when you are returning from a trip? How long after it goes out do you wait to put the cap back on the chimney and drive with it? I like the cap idea because otherwise you'd end up with a trailer full of ash. Thanks!

Уважаю людей которые своими руками делают подобные вещи. Но не забывайте использовать клей, это избавит вас от лишних проблем в процессе эксплуатации. Чтобы не вышло как с русским кемпером Енисей. Удачи в работе!

I don't know if you covered this or not, but did you treat the plywood with any sealer before putting it up in the shower? That way the moisture doesn't rot the wood.
