Exceptional aurora borealis display from Lancashire, UK - 10-11 May 2024

A remarkably strong and impressive aurora borealis display was visible across the whole UK and much of the world on the night of 10-11 May 2024, as a result of the May 2024 solar storms. At times, the northern lights were exceptionally bright for the UK, producing the best event in about 20 years.

Unfortunately, I missed it since I was sleeping.
It was a shame too since over here in Manchester the chances of there being no cloud cover during an event like this is slim to none and this was most likely
a once in a lifetime opportunity and I destroyed it.
