Additional Tip: We can use Tractor Beams (specifically the large ones) to pull ourselves towards the ship. Once you get in 150m range, you can pull towards the Idris and get there better. Update: I just did the same thing again and somehow my Bike was now getting attacked by the automated point-defences of the Idris. Hm. Not sure why there are different experiences but apparently it can work or it can go wrong. Also: Right now (I am flying towards it at the moment) - the Idris is never standing still . Not even for a second.
What I really love about these videos is that they give a good glimpse as to what fully crewed naval combat will look like. And it'll come down to positioning, crew support, power distribution and escort ships and all these factors together will be what decides who is the victor in these massive fights. Another interesting dynamic will be when the javelin is in because two idrises can be the escort for one javelin and multiple fighters can be the escorts for the idrises. And on top of thag the javelin also has a hanger for more support ships in it. This dynamic could have proper org v org battles that could last several hours before they are over and it'll be very interesting to see how these large warship battles play out. Personally instead of fitting maybe 4 or 5 fighter ships I'll probably instead go for like 20 mari furry snub fighters instead and use swarm tactics to completely overwhelm targets. If the enemy ship has 5 fighters you can easily deploy 4 snubs per fighter and as more fighters die more snubs are able to be redirected to other fighters or capital ships. I'm also sure that with enough man power your army of snubs could find a way to board the enemy idris while you're both engaged in broadside battles and try and seize both idrises for yourself. Idk the potential of this game is absolutely incredible
Loved your comment bro. Yeah that fight against the other Idris will show how important positioning and shield ping-pong is. About the Javelin. It has only one hangar that can fit a heavy fighter from what I have seen. So, Idris hangar is much more useful there. But yeah I can’t wait for this all.
We had many flying around for hours with standing still. You’re right. It’s random and tied a bit to the Idris location. Is she close to the Javelin that’s sometimes there, then it stands still more often when aiming / charging the shot. And when the Idris is closer to asteroids it also often stands still to consider the next movement. When it doesn’t stand still at all it’s worth looking at the hangars. Due to getting shot they often open for a few minutes. Ideal opportunity to fly in if you’re not getting shot by the point Defence which happened to me a few times.
@@TheRealManni yeah we got it working with dragonflies shooting at the airlock, opens pretty quickly. Then u only try to not explode when trying to fly into to open airlock
@@TheRealManni One more tip. When you're done with the mag, get a new mage and place the used mag on your torso armour. After the 4th mag, press Lft-Alt-1 to re-pack the magazines and it will free up space on your torso armour so you can just go grab full ones from the back pack without having to dig in. It'll save you time specially on areas where the NPCs can come in multiple directions.

The same happened to me about Idris never stopping or hitting my bike.
Yeah it's very inconsistent. When I tried the idirs was constantly moving and spinning
Man this is seriously awesome, please don't stop uploading star citizen content
I won't... I am absolutely caught in this game now

I have never seen a idris that stands as still as your idris

That game looks so cool!!!!
why you not using Left Alt+1 to respool ammo when in safe spot.
nice guide and video!
Takes time. New mag swap is way faster and take it from me. You need speed there 😊
😎Cool video Bro💯👍
The leftover partial magazines are due to server desynch
Dang man, i love this game only from seeing, will you do stream playing this? This would be cool
Hm good question. Star citizen isn’t exactly the game offering the most action for streams I think. I prefer cutting the best moments into videos. 😊
Left Alt - 1 (keyboard; not the num keypad) to re-pack the magazines with lose ammo of other magazines. You're welcome.
this, so much this.
Takes tons of time, due to the process hanging when the server has low fps though.
Yeah that’s why I tend to fire empty each mag and distribute more to the core armor every few mags. But it’s still a good tip. Thx bro 👊

Did the idris despawn even with a pilot in chair?
It's Idris with the low i sound not Idris with a hard I sound 😅
Wtf is eyedris?
I guess I said it better in the first video^^
Cringing every time it is called an "eye-dris".
Must be one of those people who also calls it "eye-ran and eye-raq"
Hehe guess I did it better in the first video about the event. I’ll remember that 😅
The AI is so dumb
Waste so much ammo not repooling 🥲
Hehe that’s ok. I had enough and it costs nothing 🤪 and from what I gather. This repooling takes time right?
@TheRealManni it takes like 10 seconds depending on how full your magazines are
