    I watched all the way through mate watched a few of your vids now.. just wanted to say I find your vids very helpful as its good to see through the lense of someone else doing there mods as it can be reassuring that your not not the only one making certain little mistakes and also what things to expect.. keep em going... also this vid was quite nostalgic as I live in London but you drove past 2 of my late nans old houses :)

    38:00 I'm in Norwich Norfolk, I always slow down for blind bends as there'll probably be a horse or a cyclist

      Always the best thing to do. Over here we have to watch out for geriatrics that have pulled up after a bend to eat their sandwiches 🤣

    I miss doing my training. Mad how I passed my a2 almost a year ago go now. Miss being on a motorbike, had to sell mine last month due to new circumstances that arose. Missing it badly. Can’t wait to get another one but that will be for the future. Good luck on your tests. You’ll smash them. Can definitely see an improvement in your riding and confidence on the bike. But I thing I will say, once you pass your test, don’t jump to the biggest thing possible. That is what I done and I got the most powerful I could get on an a2 license, wish I went with a 400cc or even a 250cc, but I went with a 600cc. But one bike I have always wanted is a Honda Grom, they look so fun. Keep up the good videos and look forward to see what bike you get.

      Hey, that's a shame you had to get rid of your bike, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. Hope you get back on 2 wheels soon! I met someone on one of my training sessions who has a Grom and he loves it. Bit small for me though, I'd look like Bowser riding it 🤣

    It's fun watching you on the big bikes. While the little bike is nice, it is clear the bigger bikes are not stressed to keep up with traffic.

      Congratulations. It is funny you say that, I've read a few times this week people had a lst minute lesson before their test and it was awful. I think it must be the nerves. They went on to pass their test. Your body can turn it on when required. Enjoy your bigger bike :)

    Yep, give room to vans/buses. On my mod2 test, i was behind a bin lorry and they stopped on the wrong side of the road while passing 2 cars.. i hit the anchors and stopped, but couldn't see the bin lorry mirror's, so i cranked my neck to look for them and show i knew i was in a bad spot, quickly checked my mirrors and edged right until i was visible.. no minor given..
    Another good ride out, loads of awareness.. keep grinding out the processes..

    Here’s a question for you Tommy, your initial goal of owning a bike was to pop to the post office easier and to save money on fuel. Since then have your goals changed? Is there any other plans you’d like to put into motion? Your channels doing great 👊🫡🎉

    • @TwoWheelsTommy
      @TwoWheelsTommy  6 месяцев назад +5

      Yeah, I mean I thought about learning to ride when I was in my twenties but dollar was tight so it never happened. I started thinking about it again about 10 years ago but the idea was met with resistance as we had a newborn baby. Fair enough I get that and I'm not selfish. Now my lad is growing up I started thinking about it again and getting one to save money was the idea and kind of a front if I'm honest (!) to get it past the wife (happy wife, happy life!), though the initial idea was to use it for Post Office runs to save both time and money as the roads get real busy when the holidaymakers descend. Little did I realise how much I would enjoy riding (no surprise really as I love riding pushbikes). Anyway pootling to the shops soon morphed into desired for a bigger bikes, and since I had the channel I had people spurring me on which sped up the whole process if I'm honest 🤣 During that time bikes started to actually look cool (I've never had an interest in the bikes themselves - they all looked the same!) and I started spotting stuff I could see myself on. So yeah, basic ongoing plans, pass my test, buy something, make it louder, ride the arse off it! Timing is pretty good too as I should no longer have to do any school runs (depending on school allocation) after next summer which will free up a whole bunch of time for me to go places on the island and the mainland. Exciting times ahead. Just gotta pass those tests now 💪

      @@TwoWheelsTommyhello Tommy just wanted to drop a comment and say how much I enjoy these videos. I’m a young lad looking to get my first 125 which I’ve been saving up for, there’s something brilliant about watching an average bloke from the UK just ride around, makes me feel more confident getting a motorbike to be honest. Appreciate the time taken to make and upload these vids, cheers Tommy (and sorry for the late comment I’ve just finished work and had to get a vid in before bed🤣)

      @ChopSL Thanks fella, reading comments like that makes it all even more worthwhile taking the effort to upload them. They don't just happen, it's actually a load of aggro but I've got used to it now and enjoy editing the videos - I'm glad you are watching them! Good on you for saving up for a bike, you'll appreciate it more and will look after it better I reckon 👌Make sure you watch another of my videos tonight before bed 🤣

    Alright Tommy Lad, You do know you can put the bike in neutral when waiting at lights etc, Also use the road more, position is everything when riding use position three more than two and stay of those manholes.

    • @TwoWheelsTommy
      @TwoWheelsTommy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, thanks for the tips. I do generally use more of the road when riding alone, on these lesson occasions I'm just doing what I've been told to do by my instructor!

  • @ImranOO7
    @ImranOO7 6 месяцев назад +1

    A lot of improvements, great ride. Maybe you could attach your GoPro to a power bank and probably press the button to charge when it starts to go down. Are you supposed to be in gear when waiting at traffic lights? I would really love to learn but two things holding me back, one is my left foot and second is money.

    • @TwoWheelsTommy
      @TwoWheelsTommy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks, I have considered a power bank but I have enough attached to my helmet as it is! It's never normally an issue as I can normally just stop and change it. I can't do that on a lesson. Some stay in gear, some don't. I was taught to so you can move out the way quickly if need be. Also if you come out of gear you would have to take your right foot off the rear brake to put it on the floor so you can use your left foot to put it back in gear.

    Glad you are getting on with a bigger machine. When you do pass, please forget what you're taught. Keep the bike in 2/3 of red-line - you'll have much, much better control. Too high a gear is actually not necessarily good for the engine and you have far less control. On that Honda, I'd never go beyond 3rd (from this video)

    • @TwoWheelsTommy
      @TwoWheelsTommy  6 месяцев назад

      It is interesting you say that as I know you can do mad speeds in the lower gears as they are so revvy. On this and my previous ride it was beneficial for me to use as high a gear as possible on the fast bits as there is less engine noise (Considering the comms issues I've been having)

    If you couldn't hear Paul ..... fess up.... are you still wearing your earplugs? I'd invest in an airflow jacket (maybe second hand) and avoid aramid jeans in hot weather. thy cook your arse

    • @TwoWheelsTommy
      @TwoWheelsTommy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, it was way better this time now that I was using it properly. Most of the issue was down to range. The other guy with us had never been on a big bike before and quite a few times I got waaaay ahead of him and Paul. Not a fan of being the front rider for this reason. Weirdly I was front rider last time as I was new to a big bike, and this time I was lead rider because I wasn't new to the big bike! I've not been wearing the plugs during lessons as most of it is low speed stuff. Perhaps wearing one would work in the non-intercom ear. I'm pretty sure the intercom receiver just has a 3.5mm jack so I might ask if I can use my own in-ear headphones as I'd have sound in 2 ears, and they would block the wind noise. I will try them on the 125cc and see if I can still hear the engine as I find that really useful at the moment.

    • @gasman6163
      @gasman6163 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@TwoWheelsTommyif you wear the plugs the intercom will be clearer. Voice frequencies will come through ok!
