    when i was 10 (1976) in Cleveland, on clear nights, my transistor radio/cassette recorder would pick up a late night Detroit radio show where a guy played his old 78s. This was one of the songs I recorded (this version too!) thanks for the memories

      @@haroldfarthington7492 For years I had a case of cassettes that were all created (mixes/vinyl/radio) It was actually the case my grandmother carried her toiletries in when she travelled. It disappeared sometime in my 30's.....between one of my many moves i suspect.

    I think Irving Berlin did both music and lyrics whenever he wrote a song.

    Irving Berlin composed exclusively in the key of F - he played his upright piano equipped with a transposer which change the key mechanically! Limited ability? Not on your life!
