Some people swap them preventative purely for impact resistance (if you hit something), since steel will dent where the OEM is more likely to crack. Even being lowered and driving on a variety of roads (some dirt) I’ve never been nervous enough to do the swap for that reason alone. This was a while you’re at it mods for me, since the original pan was leaking.
65K kms and still with OEM plastic oil pan. Is there any reason to change it for a steel one? Thank you in advance.
