- In this video I show how I made my own Power/Line Conditioner/Filter, whatever you call it where you're from! You should be able to make one for a lot cheaper than an off the shelf one.
Appreciate what I do on my channel? Found this video helpful?
I'd really appreciate a small donation to help me keep doing videos like this and be able to upgrade my gear etc. Click this link to 'buy me a coffee'. Thanks so much!

I built one of these, as per your build/layout, for the recording studio at the school I teach at. Recording guitars with any real gain was resulting in bad hum, even though the wiring in the room was supposed to be 'good.' At any rate, the filter has come to the rescue, and we are full steam ahead again now! Many, many, thanks!!!!
Great! I'm happy to hear that my video helped you and you had great success. 😊
Good on ya mate. I'm a kiwi in SoCal. I'm going to build one of these for my home studio. Great idea, and a money saver.
This is just what I needed. I am planning a new amplifier build with the signal stuff and power stuff in sepperate chassis. Thinking of building a power conditioner into the power supply
great cheers!
My fridge wont run off my genset 4kw (so enough power) it easily runs things like hotplate and kettle so I suspect the fridge is fussy about the power, could I use this to clean up my generator power?
Whats the plan? Specs trademark, COST ?of tha t filter Box? I thought you will build one OUT OF caps design?
Excellent video! Would this work on a petrol generator? Just so you can run sensitive appliances?
I should think so!
I know you connected the Earth to the Filter and the Socket but did you connect the Earth wire to the external case ?
The filter is sitting on the case, directly touching metal to metal, so it's connected like that to the case.
this really is a timely project for me.... as I was just looking at prices! Have you actually looked at the "conditioned" output, both unloaded and loaded? Any thoughts of adding a bit of metering to show the actual line deviations that the conditioner is protecting against? Thanks again, Doug NB: I just noticed... this conditioner doesn't address line voltage fluctuations, does it...
Hey mate, you mean chuck an occilloscope on it? Never thought of doing that.... What do you mean that it doesn't address line voltage fluctuations? I thought that's what it was supposed to do?
ANY electronic design on papel?
no sorry just did it in my head, it's pretty simple so I didn't see the need for a paper design and schematic
Verybad voice sound, you should use compresor & Filtering, THERE is strong hisss!!!
THANKS I need this yo build!!!
You didnt show final product working or testing it with oscilloscope you need more work on videos
