Great info, training. Youy know better, however I would use a Torque reach on the reattachments? With all of the aluminum parts on the Corvettes, I have trained myself to use the TQR everywjere just about. Regardless, I did subscribe.
This project is in my near future. I appreciate your efforts to make this great video. One comment. Audio is a significant part of a video. Spring for a good microphone, you won't regret it.
I always open the bleed screws when I push the caliper pistons back. That way the brake fluid simply goes out of the bleed screws and old fluid does not go back into the master cylinder. I really hate to push old brake fluid back into the master cylinder. Then I always power bleed the brakes with new fluid because when new brake pads are needed, chances are that the new fluid is also needed.
GReat Video, so much easier with a LIFT ! Ive replaces rotors and pads on the floor with the car on Jack Stands and of course its not the best of working conditions !
No E-brake adjustment ? While it's still all a part... while the bracket for the caliper is off... and test fit the rotor for any increase made in the E-shoes... it must be an AT car...lol I saw the trans. pan.
I have seen so many things that I do not recommend, that it is simply easier to do a correct instructional upload. Torque settings for starters @28:10 ....please!
Did the brakes on my C5 for first time. Bolts that screw in the back of the floating caliper pin were secured with RED Loctite. What a bitch. Going to use Blue Loctite when replaced. Nice video. It is a messy job.
Im about to do this exact same job on my c5 and i keep finding options asking if my xalipers say corvette on them or not it make it seem like the pads ar maybe different sizes if my calipers say corvette do you know if there's a difference
Looks like a government job,, two guys standing around watching 1 guy work..lol.. plan to do track day with my c5 zo6,, would you trust this kit..brembo cost thousands..this kit i can get for around 500..

When pushing the piston back in I use the old brake pad so not to damage the piston and helps go back more even.

No gloves or mask ?
Excellent video.
Is the video of the C7 car in the disruption. Thanks. Also did you use brake clean on rotors? 🙏🏾👍🏾nosale

Because of this great how-to video, I was able to install my brakes with ease. 😊
Glad I could Help! Thanks for watching!
God Blessed Donna Marie!! Dang! Great video by the way. Thanks!
Why didn’t you use a torque wrench to tighten the caliper bolts? Also the lug nuts! That is an important step you didn’t follow. 🤔
Dammmwhy did you spend so much time on the brake resivour. Geez
Nice Video
Thanks
Good video, love the humor. Thank you.

Very comprehensive video! About to do mine this evening.

Wear them powerstop routers
Yes
Hi, where are you at in California?
Is there a torque spec for the caliper bracket? It would also been helpful to let us know what size sockets you used. Nice job nonetheless!
Yes there is! 175 Nm or 125 lb ft. Socket size is 21mm.
