They’re on price parity with ICE cars already. Far from a scam, they are rapidly becoming dominant in some countries and it’s only a matter of time before their operating and maintenance advantages rule purchase decisions in America as well.
Expensive, but making China richer because China makes the batteries, and also opened up a car making plant in Mexico. EV's are for China's benefit. Not America!

It pains me to hear Larry Kudlow repeating some of the same stupid lies about EVs. My Model Y is the best car I ever owned. Reduced my fueling costs by 2/3rds, no oil changes, no transmission fluid changes, no spark plug changes brakes easily last 250,000 miles because most braking is done by regen not friction brakes, etc., etc. I've had my Model Y 15 months now and I've never even been to a Tesla service center. So dumb Larry! Oh!, and I've changed the minds of 3 Trump supporters on EVs. They got facts from me, not the myths, half-truths and downright lies that are circulating about EVs.

There will be more charging stations built and fewer oil powered cars on the road I. The future. That is pretty clear. You can stay in the past, or you can join us in the present. Either way is fine. Nobody is forcing you to adapt.
The charging stations that you see are powered by what? Fossil fuels like coal to power the generators and the turbines! So what have you gained by owning an ev? They are too expensive, hard to charge in cold weather, the batteries can easily overheat and catch fire, the ev's are very heavy, they have limited milage, and cost about $50,000-$60,000 to buy! That might be because you dont ever go anywhere.
Currently there are public 3,624 charging stations in the state of Texas and most of those stations can charge several vehicles at the same time. Then you can add all the privately owned EV chargers, which are 100,000+.
In Tucumcari, NM, those who own a Tesla are told to have it towed to Santa Fe, NM for problems. That's 166 miles away. So far, only one person has owned one here and it still doesn't run after a year.

Toyota is leading in the hydrogen(H2) engines. Look it up with the diffusion breakthroughs. Better emmisions, no environmental killing batteries. And, oh, no evil fossil fuel use. We will see how they do.
Burning hydrogen is CO2 emission free, so if anyone is able to make a comparable car using hydrogen as fuel then it is very good. Though from what I understand then Toyota is still far from a comparable hydrogen car.

80%+ of EV owners charge at home so the presence, or lack thereof, of charging stations isn’t much of an indicator. That said, Biden budgeted over $2 billion to build out the RV charging network and has built to-date, 1 charging station.

My "Edsel" goes 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, 400 miles of range, charges overnight for $9 per charge, and after a long 4-hour road trip it often takes 20 minutes to charge and costs $20.
