    I just bought peony today, oh how I love to hear your secret of growing this lovely plant. I am so much in love with flowers that I prefer to look at them rather than viewing a cinema. Thank you for your nice tips and may you share more of your expertise in gardening

    My favorite color is deep magenta pink because my mother had two large bushes in front of our house growing up. Memories! When both parents died neighbors stopped by afterwards to ask if they could have some of the roots to start their own plant. My parents were so loved by many and their peony bushes were the envy of the neighborhood. My siblings loved sharing a piece of love and memories of our parents. I smile every time I Drive by and see my neighbors bushes. Thanks!❤️

      yes, the magenta color is the most appreciated one. I fully agree that your neighbors envied your peonies because they are apple of the eyes

    I watched a few video's trying to figure out how to plant these. Because i had no buds on it I was confused. Thankfully you guys were more descriptive and pointed out the fact they may not have them. Thank you :)

    Very imformative! I am obsessed with Peonies and 'adopted' about 30 plants from my neighbor who was mowing them down! I was always wondering if those ants were a bad thing or not. Thank you for the explanation.

    Hello, I've prepared my soil to plant 3 bare root peonies. How far should I plant them apart? Also I used a pull bag of organic compost activator and soil. I mixed it with only 1/4 of my own ground soil. But then I read online that compost can burn the roots if I use too much. Should I remove some compost and make the planting area 50/50 compost and ground soil mixed together. I do have good soil in my yard, it's not heavy, clay or sandy. I'd like to finish preparing the area today so I can plant them immediately. Any tips would be fantastic. 😊

    Do you know if a person can successfully grow a peony indoors as a potted
    plant? I live near Houston, and it's too hot here to grow peonies outside.
    Thank you.

    I have a question. When to plant the bare root peony? I just got one now. Is that the right time to plant it our yard?

    Can't find ANY place that shows how to tell or plant bareroot peony that doesn't have any eyes. In that case, how do you tell the root from where the eye would be? I have 6 bareroot plants and not ONE of them has an eye on it. Not even a hint of one. can't tell the root from the eye part (since there isn't any) don't know if I'm planting them upside-down or not.................

      pekoe46 You never know if a peony root without eyes will grow or not. It's worth a try I would say but you might never see anything coming out of it. Plant the root into the ground and let it decide which way is up or down. The plant will find it's way to the sun :) Hopefully there is enough life in the root to get it going. Hope this helps.

    Can you plant peony's in a pot?

    • @franssusan
      @franssusan 8 лет назад +1

      +LCnenadulce I'd like to know the answer to that, too.

    • @BotanusTV

      +LCnenadulce Yes you can as long as it is a big container. Although, don't forget that peonies are plants that could get very old and don't like to be moved. So a permanent spot in the garden is always better.
