- Hello again, On this Episode I will walk you through my winter project of refreshing my 1965 Beetle Seats, Purchased most materials from no other than #wolfsburgwest Please drop a thumbs up, it really helps the channel and video. The strap is for when you fold the back seat down to hold it down. It would clip into the metal crossbar just above the tunnel. www.westcoastmetric.com/images/F141922688.jpg

The strap helps to hold the seat back down and flat when pulled forward to increase luggage area. Yep reupholstering these seats is an adventure for sure!

👍👌👏 Congrats! Extremely well done, looks really good (although I also loved the Mexican style blanket seat covers). Fortunately you saved some. Maybe you will need some kind of fabric or fur seat covers for the front seats now? Or doesn't your backside slip while sitting on the smooth covers and driving curves? Seat covers can also protect you from sweating on the new covers in the summer. On the other hand: The new seats look too good to be covered.

The new seat covers are smooth and very comfortable. Much better that the first time around with just scrap foam cut to fit. Coconut pads are the way to go. Thanks so much watching and comment. Love making videos for viewers like you!

Hell yeah dude! I ended up just going to the factory original color, plus I loved the pattern anyway. Wasn't too difficult. Great winter project for sure. 🙏✌E-🦸♂️

This does of course mean you need to bring the rest of the interior up to the new high standard of seat upholstery!

Luckily dan, ricks seats are 90 percent done also. Just the rear seat needs a bit of refitting. The little bastard spike clips that always brake... didn't purchase. I had to fabricate and weld them on after they were all painted. Yep big pain in the butt.

E man deluxe glad to see you’re still alive.........like your winter activity did you find that in the dump????????if you did nice score..... as for the seats came out really nice well even at a 5 foot walkby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I’d say it look like they came from Germany with a car brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!there’s one disappointing fact about the seats you being a licensed electrician!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought for sure you would have put heat in the seats like my 03 Jetta to keep your Toshi warm...................... oh that’s right you only drive that in the summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope to catch up with you either at (((((((painted frog or Terryville)))))))))you’ve been warned,,,,,, I’ll be wearing a fire extinguisher like a six shooter ON MY SIDE ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you won’t miss me take care junkman do
