Special talaga si Pablo with his talents...how his mind works is something else. Thank u for the album review. ganda ng songs but when u dissected, mas naintindihan ko saan nya tayo dinadala. Love it!

I love your perception of duality. I noticed too in interviews or vlogs he refers to PABLO in 3rd person as if there is another guy with him. He does use the 1st person I when he is sharing his personal opinion or ideas.

Ang sarap manood ng mga ganitong RV. Ang dami mo matutunan. Napaisip tuloy ako, nagiisip ba ko habang pinakikingan si Pau. I think he asks you to do both. Listen and think. Experience and reflect. I also love your thought play idea. I see that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

the 5 boys who does not have any formal music education changed the game when they came in the entertainment industry.. Pablo is a genius.. and there are people who can recognize that.. sadly, i dont think all Filipinos' recognize that we have somebody living in the Philippines.. who is like the Lin Manual Miranda (Hamilton creator.) for me, Pablo in one song did a Theatrical masterpiece.. told a story in 2-3minutes? produced and composed! He has so many layers that every cell on that man's body probably can humm and vibrate a tune...

Omg I can imagine Pablo smile and grin. I too like to decipher the messages of his songs. Genius talaga siya. I wish the whole world understands tagalog so all can appreciate Pablos songs as much as pinoys. The rest of the world is missing out.

Pablo's voice is so unique, the first time i heard WALA, i really cried that's prior to release, then comes The Boy Who Cry Wolf...God there's no one in the industry who could sing with so much emotion as Pablo. The raspiness of his voice compliments with the emotion in the song and the result was perfection. It hit you directly in the heart and you can't help but relate to his music and the message he's trying to tell us listeners.

The difference with Pablo to most artists is that he is a true and complete artist. He creates the music in its entirety from composition to arrangement to production plus he conceptualizes the message that he wants to impart not just for one song but a series of songs and, indeed in the case of SB19, even a series of EPs. It seems goal-driven. He also is not beholden to commercial success but he wants to produce an artwork that he can be proud of.

I'm a big fan of Pablo's music. He's such a good story teller and I like the rawness in his voice every time he sings. It makes you emotional and connect to the song on deeper level.

Pablo is just a pure musical and lyrical genius. And what's even more amazing is that he does it all so naturally and effortlessly. Truly gifted and as rare as they come. Great review as always💙💙💙

Even in the album cover, there's a hint of that duality. There seemed to be a sheep's fur on the back of the wolf that seemed to insinuate a wolf in sheep's clothing.
My favorite is The Boy Who Cried Wolf.. aside from the points you raised, i also like the melancholic howling (the woo... woo) of the wolf. I do think he can even make a dog's bark melodious😂.. love the album..💙

ay nako madam same here its the storytelling thats so special about his work and TBWCW is on a different tier for me just because ive seen and read so many versions of this story in fact Amanda Seyfried's Red Riding Hood is one of my favorite takes on the wolf character development. finally ??? has unraveled and its a satisfying closure, for lack of a better word, about the rest of the song. Breathe is my dark horse, its primal for me, partially biased as once a piano player. presyon just creeps up on me, i still get shivers when it plays. the rest of the songs are like friends, beyond mere acquaintances. Alon will always be special. now we can't wait for the duality in Laon! as always i thoroughly enjoyed listening to your insights on this album as well as your Kalakal video

I love that you appreciate the songs in PABLO's Alon album and how you articulately explained them. I'll share this video with my casual friends who are kinda weirded out with PABLO's music. I understand them though. But this would allow them to see where PABLO is coming from. something that I can't really explain because I'm not articulate enough.

*i love that concept you proposed: THOUGHTPLAY, that pablo is offering his audience thoughtplay instead of wordplay. how he uses songs as a way of thought, a way of approaching what it means "to know" and to inquire, dig deeper. the way he thinks aloud through his lyrics, his songs. how he is utterly fearless and generous for sharing them to us. the way his BRAIN is matched by his generous HEART.*

    I lost it around 6.57...😅
But thank you for creating such formal analyses / identifying devices and elements / almost academic unpacking of SB19's body of work.
    We need this.

    Pls keep them coming... salamat

You articulated every single thoughts I had about the album, about Pablo, about the story he is trying to convey, about the lyrics, the music. Everytime someone ask why I follow them, I always tell them the only people who will appreciate his music are those who loves poetry and artistry.
