@@emergencyawesome Darth Plaqueis was Palpatines Master in StarWars Legends.
In Canon we only know a Sith Lord named Darth Plaqueis existed and was killed in his Sleep by his Apprentice (According to Palpatine who you can trust so far as you can throw hin😁)
It is in Canon only implied that he was Darth Siddious Master, not actual stated (at least not to my knowledge)
So a possible Season 2 and further (be on TV or Anime or a Novel) could give new light to it^^

Darth Sidious was well aware of Ventress being Dooku's "assassin" and approved of her being used as a tool in their wider plot against the Jedi. One interesting thing about Osha/Mae being the same person is that you could see in this episode that Osha picked up Mae's fighting style/ability and also Mae picked up Osha's mechanic experience when she reprogrammed pip and opened the door. So it's almost like how Naruto's shadow clones work where the main body picks up skills and experience from the clones. The fact that Mae was stronger when they were kids is probably all due to the fact that they've always been more attuned to the dark side and since Mae was more passionate and possessive it made her stronger in the force which is why Osha didn't becomes strong until she tapped into the dark side. Which kind of makes sense since they came from a dark side groups of witches. This also means that Mae's mind wipe cannot possibly be permanent because if Osha remembers it then it means that Mae will remember whenever they next "sync up".

Osha and Mae should’ve been the “targets” not the main characters. Qimir should’ve been the main character and Plaegus’ voice should’ve been the shadow looming over the whole series setting the stage for what the stakes actually were. This show has so much potential and they got caught up trying to be clever with all of the setup. IF this show gets a season 2 they have to actually “do the thing” instead of just setting up the thing they wanna do. Great show in some points, overall I wanted more.

      @jchildermass5833 3 месяца назад +6

This may be true with regard to the death of the mother but I didn't understand why the show painted the Jedi intervention as the cause of the death of the whole coven. The analogy of how foreign intervention led to genocide was too forced. For one, the coven was hostile and dangerous, the members exhibited powers that could debilitate and possess another. It was unfortunate that things escalated but the witches were equally culpable for the incident. I can understand Torbin suffering from PTSD (and maybe survivor's guilt) but what else could've been done?
Sol's way of atoning was to care for Osha, so to have Osha kill him without hesitation did not make any sense. He really cared about those girls. If he was hell bent on keeping the incident a secret, he had numerous opportunities to kill Mae.
Another thing that bothered me was that there really wasn't any explanation why the coven had to create a child and split it in two. What was the significance of this? And how did it translate to the characters of Osha and Mae because they were portrayed as ordinary twins? 😅

Hoping they fiddle with things enough to explain Qirmir and Osha breaking off the main Sith "thread" and making a sub sect maybe still the Knights of Ren. Plagueis ends up weakened to where Sidious takes advantage and deals a mortal blow one way or another. If the set back in question was a previous Apprentice went rogue with their Acolyte. It still fits and gives us all a whole other branch of stuff the Jedi were possibly distracted by going into the events of the prequel trilogy.
Also, I dont think Qimir will be without a saber for long. He had to have taken some if not most of the fallen ones on Khofar, but Osha bleeding her own and being her Jedi Master's, that has to add some extra sauce right? Maybe leading this one to become that saber the Knights of Ren follow the wielder of?
Lastly wtf happened to Basil the tracker? Since we were told his language is known, he knows what happened on Khofar at least and can likely help "reset" Pip to Osha's settings/loadout and that might give Mae some of the unfiltered reality of what happened to her as well as her sister beyond Brendok. Making her into an ultimate double agent to Osha and Qimir. We don't know what Vernestra considered "too far gone/evil" to require striking down Qimir way back when, she could have made a similar decision like Sol in the heat of the moment and that might be why she seemingly empathized with him so much. She clearly valued him as a friend and colleague, or she wouldn't have said at least so earnestly, "Sorry, old friend." and carry out the cremation/funeral. Albeit she is covering the tracks of how he died by doing so too, so maybe this just isn't her first walk in the park in handling a cover-up 😅

It actually doesn't break any cannon for Plageus to have more than one apprentice, If you read the book about Plageus and Palpatine then it is reveals that Plageus did have multiple apprentices, he just kept them on different planets so each apprentice wouldn't know about the other so they couldn't conspire against Plageus. I remember aside from Palpatine he had one other apprentice who was some sort of aquatic race, cant remember its name or what planet it was on. can someone jog my memory?

Nowhere in the entire series was it even intimated that Qimir was Plagueis' apprentice. Plagueis senses Qimir but knows nothing about him or that he was Vernestra Rwoh's apprentice at an earlier stage. It is most likely that Qimir becomes a Knights of Ren member.
The reason behind the creation of the twins was that they were to be used as a sacrifice to keep the witch coven from dying out. At least, that was the impression Sol was under and why he and the other's went to "rescue" them.
Plagueis may have been known to Osha and Mae. He looked to be one of the hooded members (who's face was not visible) at the ceremony where Mae was "tattooed" on the head with that Yin/Yang symbol before being interrupted by the Jedi. This might also have been where Plagueis learned how to manipulate the midi chlorians in order to create life.

Best theory i got so far is: Both Plagueis and Qimir were trained by Tenebrous, which would make Qimir Darth Venamis. Tenebrous was involved with the Witches of Brendok and the conceiving of the twins, something that Plagueis took interest too(quest for eternal life and midichlorian influence). However, Qimir did not care and only wanted to practice the dark side himself and unbothered so he killed Tenebrous before the series.
This would explain why Qimir is so confident in training an acolyte to make them an apprentice to him, who would be the new sith master. He expects no punishment from almost revealing the sith to the jedi because their is no other sith to rival him. If Plagueis was Qimir's master i dont think Qimir would bring Osha and Mae there as it would be too obvious to Plagueis. In the end Plagueis seems to be spying on Qimir as he aims to not only eliminate his competition left after Tenebrous death, but he also aims to learn more about the midichlorian influence to eventually create a perfect darkside being (which he will fail in and cause the force to retaliate by conceiving the chosen one to bring universal balance(Anakin).

The scene where Osha bleeds the blue lightsaber to red instantaneously also doesn't make sense... Headland has forgotten that Anakin had way more intense darkside moments that could've changed his lightsaber to red but never happened: 1. The tusken raider massacre, 2. Operation Knightfall and 3. Duel with Kenobi. The bleeding of the crystal to red should've been more of an intentional thing, a focused ritual, rather than a spur of the moment... If not it just breaks Star Wars episodes 2 and 3, failing to remain coherrent with those films...

There needs to be a season 2 to explain Vernestra and Quimirs past, and also his relation to darth plagueis. It feels like the enemies to lovers thing was just added in during the final stages of the writing, to add some juice and make a Star Wars product that would suit the times (enemies to lovers has been a huge trope in the book industry for a while now) and I guess they just needed to lay down the foundations of Oshas story first before going more in depth about her further down the line when she inevitably becomes super powerful. This first season was definitely messy but there’s some good potential for further story development that would be a lot more exciting to see if more seasons are funded.

I think one thing that was kinda overlooked in this room based off the story told to us is the special connection between Osha and Mei. It was kind of assumed that maybe their mother gave them a “nursery rhyme” as a special motto or sentiment for the two to recite to each to keep their bond between each other strong. But in this finale towards the end of the episode when Mei and Osha were hugging and Osha starting saying the song the two have sang to each other other throughout the season (even while apart), it was hinted that no one ever taught that song to either of them. They just know it. I think that is foreshadowing to the force speaking directly to them for whatever force and power that was used to create them. Or maybe that chant was spoken in the process of making then when the ‘one’ child was still just one. I dont know where the plot will go from there with that but it was interesting to me.

Because it causes the Senate to confirm its distrust of the Jedi opening things up for Palpatine a century later I was ok with most of the show. But this show was a waste of time now that it is complete. I think it's weird how Osha killed Sol because he killed her mother (and Sol didn't explain how it was an accident) but she joins the guy who killed a whole bunch of Jedi that she knew and liked some episodes ago. Sol killed one person on accident years ago but Osha chooses the killer she feared two days ago???
As soon as I saw Plagueis in this video, I blurted out "fuck off, show" If The Acolyte doesn't get a second season they could do a spin-off and/or pick up the story where the finale left off in another show as they did with Ahsoka, Mandalorian & Boba Fett. It would allow the story to continue without all the uproar over another Acolyte season. There's too much potential now that Plagueis is in live-action to just shelve everything. A Palpatine series could pick up where Acolyte left off. I don’t think you are correct that Plagueis is the master. I think the only reason they tossed him in there was to make it seem like he got the idea for creating life from the force by being in the background witnessing the events of the twins being created, etc. At this point in the timeline, Plague is very young. Although they could be changing that too I suppose just like they changed a ton of other canon things in this show just to try to make it make sense. It looks like they use the Yoda puppet from Empire Strikes Back…. so this is how Disney spent 180mil Why couldn’t both twins be apprentices if they are the same person? Darth Sidious was well aware of Ventress being Dooku's "assassin" and approved of her being used as a tool in their wider plot against the Jedi. It's only when Sidious suspected Dooku was training her not only to be an assassin but his Sith apprentice did Sidious ordered Dooku to kill her to prove his loyalty. That Basile (tracker) sabotage didn’t make any sense. Is the Senator played by Harewood really a villain? Maybe he just wants to put checks on the Jedi Order so that the order doesn't become something dark. I never expected the Martian Manhunter from Supergirl would have a cameo. That's a big surprise
This is some JJ Abrams mystery box type of shit going on in this episode Just wanted to say it was nice to hear you were also upset/distraught with how it ended. I sat as the credits rolled, dumbfounded, turned to my girlfriend, and said, “At least the lightsaber fights were awesome…” because geez… now I’m not really sure what I spent the last 8 weeks watching lol this production team has no right to introduce Darth Pelagius
We've opened the Darth Plagueis box and it can't be closed - I think the best-case scenario is his story plays out but with a totally new show and showrunner to attempt to right the ship. Base it on the book. I don't think Mother Aniseya tried to create two children, I think she tried to create a child but the Force created the twins.
The stupidest scene of this episode was beneath Sol's feet but he couldn't sense her, even, though he sensed her from miles away literally minutes ago. Witnessing him Infodumping offscreen what happened and noticing that Sol became increasingly unhinged. As a civilian, he has no allegiance to Sol or even the Jedi, but he does what he considers right at the moment. Like not letting a deranged Jedi shoot down someone in hopes of stopping them - in the middle of a planetary ring. If you think a bit about Plaguis in the show it kinda makes sense, he has had Mae close for a while when she was trained, and now he has Osha, he might be studying them to figure out how to manipulate the force to create Anakin. If The Acolyte doesn't get a second season they could do a spin-off and/or pick up the story where the finale left off in another show like they did with Ahsoka, Mandalorian & Boba Fett. It would allow the story to continue without all the uproar over another Acolyte season. There's too much potential now that Plagueis is in live action to just shelve everything. A Palpatine series could pick up where Acolyte left off.

Perhaps the whole rationale for splitting the one person into two is this concept of the "force needing balance". Apparently the force created Anakin in response to Palpatine tinkering with said balance; maybe their Mother needed to create two to satisfy the balance in terms of a Yin/Yang. Had she created just one being, it would maybe tip the balance of the Force too much one way.

I think Vernestra Rwoh used the force to bring Sol back and kept it a secret from everyone but Joda and I think Darth Plagues witnessed it and that’s how he learned to keep others from dying but not himself since a Jedi has to give a part of their life force to heal others. So I think Sol is still alive and continues on his mission to find Osha and bring her back to the light side before she becomes a full Sith with the idea that he will face the Jedi counsel to answer for his part in mother Aniseya’s death setting up the plot for season two. I think master Rwoh’s words to Sol at the end “I am sorry my friend” is to mean that he will be alone in this journey to redeem himself because the Jedi counsel would brand him as betraying the order. The reason I feel very strong about the possibility of Sol returning to the show is because his character arc feels incomplete I don’t believe the writers build up his strong connection to Mae and Osha just to basically dishonor his intentions and portray him as an antihero. Sol knew he had made a terrible mistake and it consumed him for 16 years yet it did not turn him to the dark side. Fear, suffering, hate, anger, and aggression are explained as leading to the dark side of the force. Sol faced each one of these emotions and yet he remained a light force user to the end, when he had a chance to kill mother Koril, and Qimir he showed restraint. Mother Aniseya actions when he and Torbin went back looking for the girls caught him in an impossible situation he had yet to witness and therefore; he made a decision he regretted in an instant, setting up the events that followed. The fact that mother Aniseya got into Torbin’s head was the ripple effect of what followed, so Sol was not solely responsible for taking her life. I think master Vernestra Rwoh understood this she also knows that the Jedi’s best chance to unravel the mystery around the deaths of the Jedis and her rouge apprentice lies with Sol, so she resurrects Sol and fakes the cremation of his body. Think about it she was the only one with Sol in the courtyard since she had sent her other companions to track Mae, Osha, and Qimir. Anyway this is my theory I don’t think Osha nor Mae become Sith Lords and Sol is saved by Vernestra and becomes a ronin Jedi in pursuit of saving Osha from becoming a Sith. Should Disney decide to green light a second season of the Acolyte this idea would leave Qimir as Darth Plagueis apprentice and years later a young Palpatine becomes his apprentice by destroying an older Qimir.

Season 2 actually has SOOO much potential: (they had alot of setup for this show)(I do need 10 episodes, and over 45 mins without credits)
The show creator did an interview were she said the road that Osha and Qimir are on now can only lead to death since Palpatine and Darth Plagueis live, that canon is not being touched. Meaning that i think Qimir will eventually become the 1st Knight of Ren. That music plays alot during the show. Palpatine talked about his master trying to create a dyad with him, what if Darth Plagueis was drawn to the planet because he feels the power of both Osha and Qimir. Someone said why would Mother Aniseya split them. Well what if only one of the girls is suppose to lead the covent and the other was suppose to be given to Darth Plagueis to try to make a dyad. He could have helped in the creation of the twins for this purpose. Also I would like there to be a small hint that says that the banking clan is backing the Senator's seat in the Senate, a hint to Darth Plagueis.
