this is not a bongo (north africa) but a Djembe from black africa, we used to call this a tam tam in the old days , ahah I love it, in the next weeks there may be moe instruments such as banjo and cello ... danke schön

good idea, I have changed a few years ago to get a condensator mic AKG perception 220 (about 150 euros) this gear is no longer available but you can find similar gear in a Rode Nt1 A (Thomann) about the same price . These mic must be used with a 16v Phantom Power so I also bought a TASCAM us 122MK2 to have an external soundcard to connect the mic on it. Since I have this gear my sound is much better, that's for sure ...If you have any other question do not hesitate, cheers
