I have a full time civilian career in cybersecurity but I’d love to join the ANG for part-time service. The hardest part for me would be leaving my wife and toddlers for BMT. Not sure I could do that. Praise for all those that make the sacrifice.
@@Colyon no, I ended up getting a job offer that I didn’t wanna refuse. I know legally they can’t fire you for going to basic training but I decided it probably wasn’t the best time. It’s never too late tho
I'm 21 in the army national guard as a grunt by the time my contract finishes in thinking bout going air guard as security forces 🥴 might be a lil too old by that time tho
Don’t know about the guard or Air Force in general… but usually chaplains are VERY short which means that they can be deployed or TDY (temporary duty) more often than others. They also are “working” on days where everyone else is off which includes weekends and holidays. The Chaplains Assistant is usually shoulder to shoulder with the chaplain.
The pay is the same across all branches unless you are on special duty IE jump status, hazard, etc… the rank progression also depends on what MOS you choose. You’re NOT gonna rank up fast as a band musician as opposed to an artilleryman
I graduated osut as an infantryman in the army and seeing those ppl smiling in basic kinda bothers me cuz not once were we ever allowed to smile or look like we were having fun lmao
They all have their pros and they all have their cons. If you can… talk to a few people who are actually currently serving who have been in for more than 5 years. Bonus if they are not disgruntled, and can be logical about it
I'm curious of air national guard because I dont want to be full time but love the military.
“It could be yelling at you while making a bed could you handle it” ahhh thank you lord for a dad who would yell at me while making my bed 😅😂
I am interested in the Air National Guard for Ohio!
