so was op supposed to just give up having a life while the parents are away? the mum doesn't sound like a nice person as it is, she sounds like someone that will complain about anything. next time take the children with you. op needs to flat out refuse to have the grandkids again for longer then a couple of hours. red & black sounds great

And like the second OP said: it was JUST EPCOT. 😂 If I’d only been to Epcot I would not say I’d been to Disney World even if it was technically true. It’s like how I’ve “been to Denver” - sure, but only the airport!

Honestly i would be a bit jealous about epcott because i've never been there before, but i would still be grateful and thankful that they gave them that experience at all, and i would say, "aww, i'm jealous" in a playful way.

#1 - OP is definitely not the AH, which cannot be said of her sister. All her other ray-cyst skin tone obsessions to the side, who actually trips on the artwork of _a second grade child_ and accuses him of purposefully misrepresenting anyone? BSFRRN!!!
#2 - Not. Really. Again, OP is definitely not the AH, while the same cannot be said of her son & DIL. They guilt his mom into taking on their kids and bug out for an entire week of solo vacation and get upset because she took the kids with her to Epcot? What was she supposed to do - hire a sitter or something? It may just be me, but DIL calling his mom 'entitled' may have been the final nail in the coffin where future grandbaby-sitting gigs are concerned. Some. People.

2nd story.. no no hell no.. that's ridiculous to even be mad. Stuff like that Is not cheap and I'd be happy if my kids gmas did this.. people like this need to realize there are kids in this world that Don't have grand parents at all... my husband's mom died 3 years ago and his dad has 8 his n ain't shit.. my dad died last years n my kids don't have grandparents.. or great grandparents so they should be happy they have grand parents that all.. and even do anything for and with them!!!!!
With the Epcot one, the only thing I don’t really like is OP not running it by the parents at all. I feel like they should have at least given them a heads up, especially since they might not have wanted the kids to go for a number of reasons. Not just wanting to save the trip for later. Other than that though I agree OP is not really the A hole
That’s exactly what I was thinking. OP wasn’t the AH for taking them. But she should have run it by the parents first for a variety of reasons like you said.

I have to say for the Disney one and this is coming from someone who doesn’t have kids and doesn’t want them maybe I’m biased because I love Disney and if I had kids I’d be DEVASTATED if someone did what op did to me HOWEVER just because the daughter in law said she wanted to save up for a Disney Trip doesn’t mean she can assume OP would know not to take her kids to Disney, the daughter in law should have made sure that OP and anyone else watching the kids knew not to take them, because if it were me and it was that important to me I’d make damn sure that the grandparents and everyone knew to not take them without me, I do however think she could have sent them a heads up text so for me it’s 1/5 Ahole score for her maybe even just 0.5/5 because they were jerks and basically forced her to babysit.
