Alamgir is a great example of human struggle and superb talent when he came to Karachi, Pakistan, empty handed, no money, nowhere to sleep and used to sing in a restaurent on Tariq road for the only meal of the day he gets there in return. Our Bangali friends and everybody else should know this as he himself narrated this on several occasions. With his tenacity and talent he became the biggest popular music singer and musician in Pakistan. He sang several popular Pakistani folks and memorable Pakistani national songs beside creating his own brand of music from where the popular music evolves now to current Coke studio Pakistan.
