@@ShawnTubbs Seriously, you should consider it. The tunes you write for your demos are very cool. You got a very unique melodic sense, accessible but interesting. Great tunes, not just chops. I’ll be the first in line to buy it when it’s done. 🤘
Thanks so much, Sam! I used to have the CAE 3+ back in the day and I think I know what you mean. To me, the CAE 3+ is a little bit more grainy sounding on channels 2 and 3. The Trinity has a slightly more "vintage" clip to it. Both great sounding for sure!
Oh man! I love that toon. It reminds me of something but in a good way not in a 'stole it' way. The problem is I can't work out if it's Michael Lee Firkins or Stand Up era Steve Morse. Full credit to you Mr Tubbs for simultaneously getting my toe-tapping and head scratching going on
I want a semi-hollow 7 string, I am searching for tones that do not exist for extended range instruments. Sweet amp! Versatile is what I am into, but the price range is out there for me. The MIDI is what I really like.
Wow!!!! That tone ... Holy Moses. As usual, incredible review and killer playing (all the time after hearing you it takes me a few days to come back to my guitar)
Thank you for reviewing this amp. I'm surprised this company has not garnered more attention. Perhaps the cost !? But top notch components and build quality. You did the most diversified review ( in English ) I've come across. Very dynamic. Nothing ever gets lost. Great job. Thanx. 😎🎸🎶
I've not had a chance to play any of the Mezzabarba stuff.. yet. Sounds great as usual (amazing playing Shawn!) How do the dirty tones on channels 2 & 3 feel as far as percussive attack? Is it quick ala' 68 Plexi or more sag-ish like a Bogner 101b? The saturation of channel 3 has a similar tone to the 101b but I'm curious as to the percussive nature of this head overall? Any thoughts? Great Demo! Thx!
The Trinity clean channel is more of an actual "clean" channel. The first channel on the DLX is more of a "plexi" channel. The Trinity in my opinion sounds more modern sounding. Both are crazy good amps.
Amazing intro song and playing, love the feedback ending! What's the guitar you're playing slide on, is that a Gibson? (Can't quite see the top of the headstock.) Great demo, great-sounding amp.
That's a tough one to answer because there are quite a few preamps that I haven't played. The Fryette Ultra might work or maybe the Bogner Ubershall but it's hard to say for sure.
Around 6:20, there’s a sort of hiss or fizz or sizzle over his playing when he’s doing the chords, is that just inherent to all amps that I’ve only noticed since my ears have gotten better or is that only on certain styles of amps?
Man you videos are amazing and sounds great. I like PT videos but every pedal he plays sound PT not the pedal. In your videos the pedal sounds the pedal. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Amp sounds great, but putting frequently accessed controls on the back of amps is always a sore spot for me especially if there is room on the front. For example, I love my Mesa Mark V except for the rear-mounted reverb knobs. Granted, the Mark V has a crowded faceplate as is, but reverb levels on the back just seemed like a serious oversight to me.
Man I will pay you to pull those mids down some! You know I dig ya but every amp demo sounds the same. You gotta start showing what that amps can do not how you sound like you..
Id pay you $20 just to turn them flat!😜😜😜😜 Seriously though my point is if I closed my eyes and listened to this video it could be a Revv pedal. It doesnt make me want to spend $4100 on and amp..You always sound like you and not the product your trying to demo for the rest of us...
Well, you're very kind to place me in company with the likes of Guthrie Trapp and Josh Smith. Those guys are just top-shelf players! I really don't gig out much anymore. I just do sessions at my studio for the most part and yes, Kenny is a fabulous player! Thanks for watching!
Now this is how you play guitar!
You're very kind Robert, thanks very much! I hope you and your family are doing well!
Great playing. The world needs a solo record from you sir!
Thanks very much, Joe!

Hi Shawn, I'm a big fan of Mezzabarba amps, the tone that you get out of it is killer! Not to mention your amazing playing! I love it!
I just shed a bunch of amps/gear to get one of these. INSANE tone machines.
Always love the musical journey you take me on. It's like a sonic adventure of guitars
Thanks very much, Devin!!
Sounds so good! Epic demo Shawn! So much feel in your playing man love it
Thanks, Karl!
Great playing on one of the best amp brands I've heard in many years...inspiring!
Some breathtaking array of guitar beauties... Wow !
Thanks so much. I'm blessed to have such nice guitars.
There needs to be a g4 tour with Tubbs,Thornley,Thorn,Woods and Basilio. Great playing and the amp sounds good as well.
Must be a G5 then 😉
Smokin playing buddy !!! sounding great Shawn !
Thanks very much!! Hope you're doing well!
That amp is super punchy. Great sound. Your playing is so expressive it sounds like a slide sometimes. Great demo.
Great tones from the Mezzabarba by a master guitar player. Thanks Shawn. This amp reminds me of the Custom Audio Electronics 3+ preamp.

Great playing (as it always is when you demo gear)!
1:51 is so ridiculously awesome!

Great playing, tones, demo and Amp 🔝🤟♥️
Shawn is literally up there with the best....so tasteful..wish u lived in Denver Shawn, I wd like to take a lesson
Like the clean strat tones, marvelous Shawn. Bad ass 👍
The cranked as well 😎
beautiful playing and tones!
Awesome Playing!!! Great amp. I did buy the captorX after watching your demo video. It's a great add for my studio. Thanks
What a great sound! What kind of speaker did you use?
Bogner 2x12 closed back cab with Cele Vintage 30.
I love all of your reviews Shawn. I am very interested in this head after your demo, and will probably get one, thanks to this great demo.
Thanks so much for watching!
BTW. I purchased the ' Brover' after watching your demo. 👍
Awesome! That's a good OD pedal.
Amazing work. Been following you since you played for Promise Keepers. You’ve inspired me. If only my demos had your chops.
Thanks so much, Jerry! Hope you're well.
Hi.... awesome demo.... this is the real sound of Mezzabarba... Very Very real sound... Thank You ...I like it... You are too Rock :)
Nice bass playing! Great tones and playing all around.
Thanks so much, Chris!
Geez man, killer playing Shawn
Thanks, Tim!!
Awesome as usual!
Thanks, CVT!! We need to hoist a beer soon!
@@ShawnTubbs Yes indeed, lunch is an option as well
Damn, Shawn, your playing is 🔥!
love that 12 string..
Thanks very much! I've had the Hamer Newport 12 for a long time now and it's a great guitar!
Right?! Every time Shawn brings out that 12-string I get serious GAS! (Not to mention all his other guitars...)
Great playing and very informative video.
Thanks very much!
did you ever try their m zero? sounds great as always
The Trinity is the only amp I've played but I've heard fabulous things about the whole line. Thanks for watching!!

Channel 3 has more sag to it but overall the Trinity has a tighter feel.
Sounds great
Hey Shawn, how different is this amp from a Friedman BE 100 Deluxe?
The Trinity clean channel is more of an actual "clean" channel. The first channel on the DLX is more of a "plexi" channel. The Trinity in my opinion sounds more modern sounding. Both are crazy good amps.
@@ShawnTubbs thanks brother, went with a Headfirst Alta 100, worth a look if you like Marshall
Sounding killer Shawn!!!
Thanks, Jimmie!!
Who’s more better than this guy?? None! None more better!!
You're very kind. Thanks so much!
Amazing intro song and playing, love the feedback ending! What's the guitar you're playing slide on, is that a Gibson? (Can't quite see the top of the headstock.) Great demo, great-sounding amp.
Thanks very much! The guitar I was playing slide on is an Eastman T64.
In your opinion, which of the Synergy modules comes closest to that of the Mezzabarba?
That's a tough one to answer because there are quite a few preamps that I haven't played. The Fryette Ultra might work or maybe the Bogner Ubershall but it's hard to say for sure.
like the amp sounds much like the boogie mk 2 with a touch more growl. nice demo
It does have a bit of that MII C+ character but it has a bit softer feel overall. That being said, the MKII C+ is my favorite of the mark series amps.
Wow! Awesome talent!
Thanks very much!
That intro kicked some much ass bro ! 🔥🎸
Around 6:20, there’s a sort of hiss or fizz or sizzle over his playing when he’s doing the chords, is that just inherent to all amps that I’ve only noticed since my ears have gotten better or is that only on certain styles of amps?
That type of clipping is inherent in most British style tube amps.
Smooth...love it!
Bel suono davvero
LOVE!
Half beard is enough for making good amps in Italy ....the second half is in Shaw'ns head, heart and fingers :-)
Man you videos are amazing and sounds great. I like PT videos but every pedal he plays sound PT not the pedal. In your videos the pedal sounds the pedal. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Thanks so much for watching!
Is it EL34 or 6L6 configuration ?
Let is know,
PRS guitars look better without the bird inlays 🤭
The word bright is spelt 'brite' on the amp and 'bright' on the pedalboard - weird, great sounding amp though and great playing
Yeah, I noticed that too.
Wow you look like Greg Kinnear the actor, bet he can't play like you though!
Amp sounds great, but putting frequently accessed controls on the back of amps is always a sore spot for me especially if there is room on the front. Thanks!!
only nitpick, can you please face us when you are demo'ing the product - just so we can see everything happening on the fretboard 🤤
Man I will pay you to pull those mids down some! You know I dig ya but every amp demo sounds the same. You gotta start showing what that amps can do not how you sound like you..
What's the exact dollar amount you're proposing so you can hear me sound like me but with scooped mids? ;)
Id pay you $20 just to turn them flat!😜😜😜😜

@@curtspoerer4424 So if I turn the mids to flat, it won't sound like a Revv pedal?
news flash, every amp sounds like you cause your basic tone is in your fingers and in the cabinet and mic position as well
Shawn, you are a modern day hero along with Trapp and Josh Smith. Do you gig much in Nashville? also, do you know Kenny Vaughn? He's fabulous too
Well, you're very kind to place me in company with the likes of Guthrie Trapp and Josh Smith. Those guys are just top-shelf players! I really don't gig out much anymore. I just do sessions at my studio for the most part and yes, Kenny is a fabulous player! Thanks for watching!
