I've never seen anything like this. It was a home game and they celebrated with their fans who pay a lot of money to be there. And yes, for Gabriel and his redemption. Why wouldn't they celebrate?
He was poor in the Leicester game, he seems to struggle when there is little to do as he loves to be involved. He will have to properly learn how to be part of a team that enjoys the lions share of possession.
I think as fans we took a couple of his saves in that last game for granted, mainly because of the tension, a great win, I celebrated and I was on my own at home.
Also I think he wears his heart on his sleeve. And resonates with the fans. In the past, we have had Cech who was let's face it decent nothing special. We had leno, good but as exposed in the fulham game not great on crosses. Aaron, doesn't have any technical weakness except experience. Like EMI Martinez, they fight. Now, I am not naive, I realise we have miles to go. But ever since I started following Arsenal since 2002, last season is when I actually started enjoying watching Arsenal again. Surely you can think of a better thing to ask. You're lucky that Ramsdale is an unusual footballer who put more effort in his answers than others would (and that you put into your questions for that matter).

We have Arsenal, then Man City, so I can't see us getting much at all from those games either. What I would want to see in these games though is a change of approach. Maybe move to a less dynamic, but easier to play, 4-4-2, or 4-4-1-1, just to create width going forwards to stretch opposition defences, and to stabilise the midfield and support the back four. It would be somewhat going back to basics, but you have to learn to walk before you can run. If Gerrard does go, then who replaces him?
