I miss Tarte’s holiday all face sets. They held shadows, bronzer, blush, highlight, lip, mascara. They were the bomb. Now the only way to get something similar is through the no name trunks sold at Ulta that make me feel old if I use them.
Tarte way over inflates the retail value of their holiday sets. They are sold at a good price, but there is no way their actual value is what they advertise.

I’m waiting to try new Kylie cosmetics concealer, because I’m in love with her rebrand, especially the skincare and lip/cheek products, and her concealer was great even before this “clean” rebrand, so, I’m waiting for this concealer to arrive - it was launched a couple of days ago and there are approximately 40+ shades, which is great! The Tarte Honeysuckle is nice. But I have a full size and 2 sample size of the Clinique Black Honey. So I am going to pass. ONly thing I am ordering right now is the latest Sephora Lipstick set with the teal makeup bag. Hoping you will do an updated Makeup collection. ( especially eye shadow palettes.)
I agree with the Hourglass palettes. They last forever and in my opinion, they are the best on the market. Definitely worth the money. I'm trying to skip most holiday this year. I already bought Jellyfish and the CT eyeshadow palette. And the Nars blush palette. im interested in the Tarte mascara sets. I'm really trying to keep it to a minimum this year. I think I'm failing 😊
Have you tried the new Tony Moly Jelly Lip Melt yet? It's new at Ulta and they have them in Candy Cane and Ginger Snap for the holidays. I thought it looked really cute and as soon as I get my check in for the month, it's on my list to purchase! They are so cute!

I tried it again for this video and it didn't work because it was sunny and when the window is bright behind me it washes everything out. The only reason it worked in the last video is because it was dark and stormy. :( It's a bummer because I like that setup!
The hourglass palette got me near the register at Ulta! I do get one every year, and I ended up getting the deep one even tho I’m fair. With a light hand, the shades are just amazing! I love them every year, and do reach for mine often.
I get entranced in all of the pretty packaging, but holiday sets aren't something I usually buy...mostly because usually, the formulas are different, for the worse, and it just seems like a waste of $$$. But I DO like to see what they come up with though😅 I saw another person mention Profusion holiday sets, now that I may have to look at. I normally don’t buy holiday sets but I did buy the NARS Holiday 6 pan blush palette last year. I love it. Definitely Fall & Winter colors, but six completely different colors that you can also mix to customize unique shades. It will last forever. The Tarte Honeysuckle Holiday Set looks absolutely beautiful on you. I fear the shadows may be too warm for me but will go in the store to check it out.
I got the hourglass. I have a mini of one of the finishing powders and have always wanted a blush but when this year's jellyfish came out it was everything I wanted!
Thank you for giving us a honest review on the holiday collection. Last year and even the previous year I didn't grab Too faced holiday collection and this year will be the same. Tarte is very beautiful, but with too many palettes to buy all at once is pretty overwhelming and a lot. So I would just save and buy a palette that I like and will use throughout the year like a Natasha Denona palette. Just considering how much money I spent on makeup in the past, I am being conscious about my spending habits on cosmetics. I still have three drawers of makeup with eyeshadow and blushes I haven't used yet. I told myself I will give at two years and if I don't use them I will start to declutter and just go minimal.

As for the $207 value of the Tarte palettes, that only makes sense if they are saying they would sell each of the palettes for the same price of one of the ManEater palettes! There are a few Sephora lip sets I’ve been wanting but are already out of stock. I did buy the Sol De Janeiro travel size 4 pack of different scents because I hear great things about their scents and I really want to get some good perfumes and body sprays and actually use them (I haven’t bought anything in years because I’m sensitive to smell). It seems like more and more brands are coming out with "new" palettes with little to no variation (Hourglass Ambient Palette, I'm looking at you!). (Compare past with present Hourglass Palettes and they have very little variation.). Would like to know if you have the new Moon Crush Too Faced highlighter. I'm a highlighter freak!! You did your math on all this stuff, Jen. Personally I'm not a fan of any of these palettes so far.

I bought one of those Hourglass pallets 5 years ago. I finished the 4 powders within 18 months and I’m still working my way through the 2 blushes. I love it and I would LOVE one this year but they’re pricey.

Hi Jen! Went to Ulta today and swatched all three hourglass palettes. Only the snake one showed up on me and I’m pretty much a light to light- medium tone. Did the jellyfish one work out for you? There’s a 20% coupon right now and then plus if you sign up for the store card, it’s 40% off. I’ve been meaning to do that for the points boost. They let both stack up, so it’s possible to get the palette for around 60 right now.

I always buy the Sephora Favorites Mascara collection because you get . 5 minis and a certificate for a full size of your favorite from the collection. Sadly, my puppy got ahold of the certificate from this year and chewed it into bits. Bad dog! lol. I did get a Juicy Maracuja mini set from Sephora, too. Love the JM!! I haven't hit Ulta yet this year, but I think I will check out the 2 Faced balms.
Hi Jen! I was THIS close to getting the Tarte 4xPalette (the 3 x eye / 1 x face) BUT you know what I did? I decided to spend $300 (I’m in Canada) for the ND 28 Purple-Blue Palette. Was about to hit “buy”and then my angel of a Fiancé bought it for me! So, while I was totally prepared to pay for it (because I’ve always wanted on of Natasha’s OG 28 pans), his generosity stepped in and I’m a lucky gal. Great video, I totally agree with your opinions on everything, especially regarding TooFaced, I mean COME ON…it’s getting to the point where they’re insulting our intelligence w their holiday palettes and I don’t like it. I get way more excited about holiday sets after Christmas when they are heavily discounted 😅 But I will pick up one every now and then if it includes a product I was already thinking of purchasing and it seems like a really good value (like you mentioned with the Hourglass - that one has me thinking!)

My sister got me the Tarte set last year for my birthday right after Xmas, it was the 4 small pallets, great quality and so good. Maybe she will give me this new set this year.🤞🤞. It took me 2 years to use up a full size powder from Hourglass, started buying the mini’s instead.

I did not get the little palettes. I think they think we will feel like we are getting a great deal but we know better for sure because we watch your videos. i love the holiday kits! I’m eyeing those Tarte kits and I got the lip glaze set but the set of 2. if i like the formula i may get the set if 4 just for that cinnamon bun! I also love the pillow balm formula so i’ll be getting that too. I’m looking forward to seeing more of these videos.

Hi Jen! Went to Ulta today and swatched all three hourglass palettes. Only the snake one showed up on me and I’m pretty much a light to light- medium tone. Did the jellyfish one work out for you? There’s a 20% coupon right now and then plus if you sign up for the store card, it’s 40% off. I’ve been meaning to do that for the points boost. They let both stack up, so it’s possible to get the palette for around 60 right now.

I always buy the Sephora Favorites Mascara collection because you get . 5 minis and a certificate for a full size of your favorite from the collection. Sadly, my puppy got ahold of the certificate from this year and chewed it into bits. Bad dog! lol. I did get a Juicy Maracuja mini set from Sephora, too. Love the JM!! I haven't hit Ulta yet this year, but I think I will check out the 2 Faced balms.

Hi Jen! I was THIS close to getting the Tarte 4xPalette (the 3 x eye / 1 x face) BUT you know what I did? I decided to spend $300 (I’m in Canada) for the ND 28 Purple-Blue Palette. Was about to hit “buy”and then my angel of a Fiancé bought it for me! So, while I was totally prepared to pay for it (because I’ve always wanted on of Natasha’s OG 28 pans), his generosity stepped in and I’m a lucky gal. Great video, I totally agree with your opinions on everything, especially regarding TooFaced, I mean COME ON…it’s getting to the point where they’re insulting our intelligence w their holiday palettes and I don’t like it. But i like you!!!! ❤
