I’ve been looking to a place to love to out of CT, and this place looks awesome. Now the question is, how is the flooding? I saw my friend stranded due to flooding in Houston. Also, I’m in Connecticut, So there are bears about. What kind of wild life gets into the neighborhood? I’m also in a multiracial-multicultural relationship with 2 kids. How’s the racial tolerance there?
Id find an outskirt of SL to live in. I wouldnt live in Houston so I am looking for next best thing where I could take trips to Houston but I dont have to. Dallas is and was number 1, but I am also considering alternate locations too.
I live in Sugar Land. If you want to travel to Houston often, you might want to consider living in Houston as I have to drive minimum 45 minutes to get downtown (even with going over the speed limit). This is a HUGE issue for me as I am a student at U of H and the campus is a little bit southeast of downtown. Also, Sugar Land is for the most part rural. A lot of open land. If that's your thing than you'll like it.
ok im thinking of moving there in a few years is it a really good place to live? How is the crime and hows the weather? Or hows the apartments or homes?
I live in Sugar Land and can say it's very safe. The weather can be hot, humid and rainy in the summer but in the fall and spring, it's very nice weather. From the middle of December to maybe early March, it's kind of cold (between 35-55 degrees most of the time). I have two issues with living here though. It's far outside the city. I am a student at U of H and it takes minimum 45 minutes to get to the campus and it takes about the same amount of time to get downtown. The other issue I have is that it's pretty rural. I would like to live in an urban area that is walkable/bikable so I will definitely be moving after I graduate.
Originalsavageguy345 Sounds great! We could sell our house in a heartbeat. Just the job part is what we need to setup. Guessing you love it there. Looks like an amazing place, especially compared to where I’m at.
Hii friends I am been living in pa for about last 15 years , its very expensive here , i wanna move to sugarland tx. I know its very hot and humid in summers over there , its ok , but my only worry is,,,, i heard there’s lot of snakes in all Houston and surrounding areas , and i have kids with me ,, is it true???
We also have MASS GRAVES of dead slaves and indentured prisoners! Life is sweet in Sugar Land. In Sugar Land, we probably won't kill you for your labor, maybe.
@No Malice I dont know the histori, but all I know is, I wanna go somewhere in Texas. Dallas is and was number 1, but am also looking at alternate locations. Sugar Land might be too expensive though.
Just how sweet life can be.
