In a bts interview with Lucius’ actor he confirmed the whole restaurant conversation was entirely improvised and he was getting nervous because he had the one line to say and he was worrying about saying it too early or late as he didn’t want to ruin the flow of Steve and Ed’s riffing but he also didn’t know where the hell the conversation was going
