  • Pretty lazy start to 2023 if I'm being honest, but what a start. Not too many genres of photography can give you something completely new like astrophotography which is exactly what happened on Monday 27th of Feb. Aurora watch services were busy all over the world as strong solar activity set off one of the most amazing displays I've ever seen.

Looks amazing, you're so lucky to see that from beside the lense too! Thanks for sharing the experience.

    Great stuff, Dom.
With all the activities of late, I've missed a good 80% due to cloud or moon. Looks like you're in a good spot that holds the clouds back.
Good to see you out n about again.

      Thanks Dwayne,
Was pretty lucky, the ranges hold the cloud back a lot for us. Then again, we very rarely get that sort of aurora show this far north.

Thanks so much Richard. That town will be Harcourt. Certainly seems to throw up more light than it used to.

Here is Canada I got an alert but it was 100% cloud cover so didn't see it.

Sorry to hear that Lawrence 😕. I've been reading a lot of comments on insta and the like saying the same. Seems I really was fortunate as we've had nothing but cloud cover since.
