Awesome job with the processor, the automation is over the top. From looking at the video, here are my ideas on speeding it up. 1. since the clamp tells the saw where the log is, the saw doesnt need to return completely up, just several inches above the clamp. Also the clamp could have memory, if it only lifted 6" above where it stopped it would speed it up alot too. Where did you source your plc parts if I may ask?
I would like to see this machine to cut KS hedge wood , The thing I don't understand is why you have to handle each log by hand after it is cut? i have seen a machine that puts the speed of your operation to shame I will try and find the video of it a and pass it forward to you, Your cutter is very impressive:)
Is that Pine ? If so, doesn't it smoke and render too much pine tar for fire wood ? I know oak isn't that only firewood, but we don't use pine in east texas for fire wood. Interested in knowing knowing how pine burns in the fireplace or wood stove. Thanks. Either way, GREAT machine.
I think it's decent. But you're cuttin sprouts. And , the power unit. That old binder , wit the picker. it has more hyd.. an HP.. than that ford on a 540. I run a homemade straight out wood spliiter. I run a 540 pump on a 1000 shaft. 1066 international. I run a fast idol. I just need ta split it . I cut it with a ps7900 DOLMAR. or 3120XP husky.
this is a very neat unit keep up the good work
You need an off-feeding conveyor, my back is hurting just watching that poor fellow stacking wood!
Impressive, but you have a man there doing a lot of GRUNT work. Picking up drop.. What can be done to improve that?
Well done sir Very nice. They don't sell that kind of "USA built" at Lowes!
6K products sells quality parts and supplies for building your own firewood processor.

What`s the point with a roll after the saw?
Why do you don`t use the splitter?
Working nice, but way to slow for professional use.
love it
It would work better if you sharpen the chain...
can you tell me the name of the hydraulic pump you have on your PTO. and the gallons per minute
would like to know what saw motor your using
I'd like to see the big bloke do some work and the smaller bloke push the buttons the big guy ite lose some weight
