How to Convert Dates to Words in Excel
Have you ever found yourself lost where you need to convert 1000 dates to words in excel? Well, now you are safe. In this advanced excel tutorial, you’ll easily be able to solve this. Suppose you have a date in cell A2 like this, 4/25/2024 and in cell B2 you need to convert it to words like this, Twenty-Fifth April Two Thousand Twenty-Four. Well, it can be done. In this tutorial I’ll be using VBA to solve this. I’ll be creating a custom function using vba and here is how you can do it also.
Convert Dates to words:
Step 1: Click on the developer tab ( If you don’t have developer tab on your ribbon here is how you can get it: • The Fastest Way to Add... )
Step 2: Click on Visual Basic
Step 3: Click on “Insert” and then “Module”
Step 4: Paste the code. I’ve already prepared the code for you here is it for you to copy.

Step 5: Close the VBE (Visual Basic Editor) and save the workbook in .xlsm format.
Step 6: Now write the function and the only parameter is the cell reference.
Done. This is how you convert dates in words in Microsoft Excel.
