Thanks for the update Genaro. Really cool to see how this system has evolved from the beginning. It helps a lot to see the timing of when you're pruning, adding in seed bombs, etc. Please keep these updates coming!
Absolutely love this concept and setup, I think the information you guys provide is invaluable for this planet and the future of farming. would love to see another update video on this 🙏🏻
It was not planted... its is some brachiaria from old degraded pastures. We could have planted some nice grass and fertilized it but cost was an issue. We plan however to fill in this space with 3 lines of coffee next year.
In agroforestry we try not to worry about the so called pests. If there is an un balance try to think of what have we done rong rather than how to eliminate that form of life.
Interesting stuff as usual, hope Bruno keeps up the good work - it must be looking good by now! General question on seed cocktails: I've often read in tree manuals that different trees need different seed pre treatment to help with germination. Do you ever get only the same species 'making it' out of your seed cocktails, or is it pretty even or dependent on the environment/management? Or would meticulously applying the right pre-treatment to each seed species help even the playing field and hence result in a higher diversity of seedlings growing up?
Oi, como é que pode plantar tantas árvores tão perto? Relativamente às novas sementes plantadas ao lado da bananeira, essas espécies nascem todas assim tão perto? Abraço de Portugal.

Is the grass in the interrow planted? Or just native weeds/grass. Are they planning to graze animals through there?

How we control melon fly in agroforestry system

Really interesting system! Harvest must be a pain though?
