As to Yamaguchi, of course the Japanese and many Chinese knew she was not “Chinese.” And as to Jiang Qing, it is breathtaking that one woman had such absolute power to victimize an entire country all by herself. Indeed, she made a very good scapegoat. I heard one HK publisher stopped publishing CR memoirs, since everyone is a victim, it seems as if no one was involved in persecution at all.
