- Whats up everyone!? This was our first night camping alone at the Kern River. It was such a peaceful and laid back place to relax. We're bummed we didn't catch any trout so we'll have to redeem ourselves soon! This area was a first come first serve, but the Rivernook Campground required reservations. bro...I have a 2006 taco and 2017 4runner....I highly recommend the magnaflow flow exhaust! it sounds mean and beefy but not trashy, I guess!!

Hello! I have a very similar looking Tacoma. I live in the Ventura area but am from Kern county. This video popped up as a video I may be interested in. Love the content! Was the entry ti keysville open? I drove down a couple months ago and it was locked with a chain. I camp in that area year round off the the black gulch trail. Just wondering Geiger I drive down there if it’s finally been opened.

No trout beneath Isabella. Especially that spot. Trout know it’s a camping spot so you won’t find much there. Maybe during cold fall you will. Less people there

Be extra careful they dont call it the "KILLER KERN " For nothing. I just moved from wofford heights/lake isabella. Had alot of drownings in the 27 yrs I lived there

Nope, just a fire permit if you plan to have a fire
@@TacoManD4X4 and if youre having a fire you are required to have a bucket and a shovel available.
We're you north of river nook camp ground...just curious it's nice there...I have dogs so I like to go in areas like where you camped.
It was really nice! We enjoyed going there and will be going back this year. Bathroom are well kept, warm showers, no trash laying around. River is really nice as well. I recommend it 👍🏼
Unfortunately the Kern river doesn't attract the best people. I have never seen as much trash at campsites as I do at the Kern river.
