Ive been without an amp for roughly a year now and have been searching high and low for the sound i hear in my head and by golly this is it. Gonna order one ASAP!
I have no more space for amps but this sounds so good! I wish these were around years ago when I was getting into tube amps. The features and price point are killer
Just ordered one. Can’t wait to plug in and explore this pretty machine. What hooked me was the airy, present clean tones. The older I get, the more I pursue the Big Clean Tone I hear in my head. The fact that this OD tone is sick is a bonus
My dude is out here just killing it per usual. 🔥 I’m very intrigued by this amp. I’ve been looking for a nice (clean) pedal platform that can ease my guitar recording woes. This seems like a major contender (especially at this price point).
Picked mine up today. Took my Heritage H535 in for the test drive. Sold. There's lots to explore sonically on this thing. Hit a Fulltone Full-Drive 2 with an LP tonight and it's really surprising. This will be fun.
I've had one for over a year and have to give it an 8.5 outta 10. Mine, and others, seem to have a microphonic issue with the reverb. Turn it up too high and it'll howl. Other than that I think it's packed with great features and more importantly great sounds. I have a Victory V40 Deluxe, and a Rivera Clubster 45 and actually prefer the 620's sound. Keeper.
Hmmm, I could see how that could be a problem in any closed-back combo with a spring reverb. I wonder if there's any way to remedy that? Enclose the reverb tank in a damped housing?
Hey, Antique Electronic Supply sells insulated reverb tank bags cheap. You might get a better tank as well if it isn't a long 3-Spring. I'd measure if the standard fender 17" 3-spring tank will fit. If howling is still an issue, you might consider cutting a large hole in the back right above the tank. AFAIK, 1/3 the area of the back panel is enough to eliminate any port freq effect without loss of bass.
I'm only up to the In The Mix section but I've already had to go and find out more about this, i.e. the price... And WHAT? How is this priced like this? It sounds incredible and is not prohibitively expensive!! Great demo btw, as always. Question now is: this or the VHT d fifty I've been obsessed with for a year.
@@shckltnebay Could be the ceramic speaker, which has a 3.1kHz peak (right in the most sensitive human hearing range), making it a tad harsh and metallic. It now comes with a Falcon 50. I ordered this amp way back when I first saw this video and it's still on backorder and you can't find them anywhere. 😳 I really loved your demo but I kind of need an amp so I'm ready to cancel the order. Did you end up keeping yours? Is it worth continuing to wait?
