- A documentary by Ivo Bright, detailing the journey of 90s British Hip-Hop group The Brotherhood.
Special thanks to the Kino Library for archive footage, and The Brotherhood for their involvement with the project.
These people were very talented. Shame they stopped. Elementalz is a classic album. The beats are just fire. They’ve got that nyc boom bap sound mixed with London roughness.

Still love this album to this day. Just kinda stumbled across it at the local record store, gave it a listen and was floored. This was when I and one of my closest friends had just gotten semi-serious about the whole music side of hip hop. It's been absolutely instrumental in my life and a greater inspiration than any american or swedish rap .

Love this documentary, incredible to hear the interviews and backstory to The Brotherhood and Elementalz, one of my favourite rap albums.
Respect to both the crew AND the Underdog aka Trevor Jackson one of my fav producers. Elementalz was a mad album

ELEMENTALZ CHANGED MY LIFE !!! no joke...my fav. album of all times..a masterpiece you guys did... also major props to the underdog for the flawless production! salute, dj skeli (germany) p.s.: i remember when i bought the CD in 96, just gave it a listen in the local CD shop and was pumping it all day long...and then 2 weeks later was on my first concert (cypress hill), and the brotherhood was a pre-act (and i didnt know about that fact), it fukkin blew my mind! :)
This album had such an impact on my life.....big up Trevor Jackson for the production also!
I wish this doc was about another hour long, damn good stuff!!!
I love this record... I'm glad that the record made it to the US soil where I was able to get a copy. In addition, we gots to get that unreleased album.
Back in the day Shylock used to go out with my flatmate. I remember him playing me the unreleased 2nd album. That shit bounced!!
This changed it all for me. Best album then and now...opened me up to a different energy when it came to hip hop.
I'd love to see a book about the Brotherhood, with the history, lyrics, and all

Loved brotherhood since I might smoke a spliff..had elementals in heavy rotation, saw them.cypress hill and gza , solid live performance shame what happened n fell apart..but wimpy ??😄😄

Hilarious how you managed to produce 18:06 minutes of this without a single mention of the person who wrote, programmed, produced & mixed every single bar of music on their album!? (and also directed all the artwork, released the album on their label as well as every other release of theirs). Even funnier how a band who seemingly want to take full responsibility for their own success totally delude themselves they weren't also 100% responsible for their own downfall, jokers.
I made this documentary back when I was 16/17 for a sixth form project. Didn’t have much to speak on the matter, just wanted to get my grade and get on with it, you know how it is. Everyone involved agrees that this hardly covers any ground. Hardly even scratches the surface.
