This is exactly how ranked should feel though.
The real problem is pubs- pubs should NOT be as sweaty as ranked if you are above average. But unfortunately, the absolute high majority of my pubs are Diamond-Pred players.
I get to diamond every season, my lobbys always feel full of beginners

I won’t discredit your experience. I believe you.
Doesn’t change my reality. A lot of people in my skill range are only playing the top 7-5% of players (in pubs).
So it makes me cringe when lower skilled players say “I should be winning more but the SBMM forces me to play good opponents sometimes”.
Meanwhile, most of these lower skilled players are winning MORE overall (pubs + ranked) than some players in the top 10%.
SBMM seeks to equalize outcomes.
@@jessossenkopp ranked is a strange thing. I know some players that have never played a day of ranked yet, and they're way better and get way more kills per match than my friends who play ranked and get to diamond or masters. For me pubs and ranked are literally just 2 different play styles.

There is truth to that final statement. Ranked and Pubs do play differently, but it’s against the same population of players; the kids I’m playing in ranked are the same skill level of kids I’m playing in pubs- they are just extra aggressive in pubs because they want constant action.
Remember season 0-3, the SBMM was far less aggressive. Lobbies were, for the most part, comprised of average players. That’s how pubs should play.

I have a serious love/hate relationship with mastiff legends right now, it needs some serious balancing, i love the basic concept, if you're truely good at FPS' then apex will rewards you, if you're bad you will get fried, i was always "ok" but now im sick of getting double tapped and having literally no choice but to run an r99/mastiff, volt/mastiff or flatline/mastiff set up, i can double tap too, its not difficult but thats why its boring now, we need to balance the game back to when skill mattered and not who has a good strafe and a purple shotgun bolt 😑
I mean learning to tap strafe/bhop in general still takes skill. You don’t just load up the game and boom learn all of the movement mechanics there are, UNLESS you’ve played Titanfall beforehand then it’s pretty easy lol
I don't know why people say this, have you seen good players playing old Apex with only Wingman/R99 and Peacekeeper? It is basically the same with Mastiff
