Second proper season ended up with 142K! Couldn’t quite make consecutive top 100K finishes, but it was a HUGE comeback from being 6M in GW10 🔥 My second chance rank was 6.5K so I’m really proud of the second half of the season. Eze punt in GW38 helped get me top 150K. Thanks Andy and the community here for your help!
I think prices need to go up. Most of the season I had money in the bank and I was rarely left thinking about how I am going to get a player by making transfers. Last year there was 3 premiums - Haaland, Kane and Salah. Pick 2 out of the 3 and use the rest of the budget on the team. For me, for most of this year it was just Haaland and the rest of the money was spread around. I always had 3 city, 3 arsenal, 2 liverpool, 2 spurs, gordon, palmer, watkins. Higher prices will put a focus on other mid table teams.
Had my best season in FPL this year. Seeing the way Andy approaches the season definitely influenced how I went about things and I wouldn’t have made a top 2k finish without his content!
For me, 23/24 is the first season I managed to obliterate my goal. My goal, since I have only ever finished as high as 430k before, was 200k. With millions of players I thought that was a tough but achievable goal. I ended this season at 63k, highest ever finish 🤩 Gvardiol was the greatest asset in the final few weeks of the season, and if I had a wall his shirt would definitely be up there 😎
Definitely agree on your pricing arguments, higher prices made the game more interesting and also more forgiving when you made errors too. The past couple of seasons how many times has a 50/50 call meant huge rank loss. The other good thing was it weeded out dead teams quicker. In one of my cups I almost lost a week to a dead team of 10-12 weeks because the template was that strong even after that long.
So much luck involved with FPL. Best you can do is put yourself in position to get lucky as often as possible and hope for the best. Most important thing is to remember this is meant to be fun/entertainment and not to be taken too seriously. Thanks for consistently putting out great content. You add a lot to the FPL community and help make the game more fun. Enjoy the Euros, and see you in August!
Thanks Andy, massive effort to put out so much content each week! It's the first year I've put in effort right through a whole season in FPL, and probs due to staying engaged with your vids! Just missed out on the top 20k, and stiff in the mini-league too. Tied on 2551 points with someone else, but they got the win because the tiebreaker is whoever makes the least transfers 😂

This is my 2nd season taking FPL seriously (I have had teams in the past, but always kinda burned out halfway through). Went from 350k last year to 127k this year, which I am pretty happy with. I have enjoyed your content over the season and what I really like about your style of content, is that even if I disagree with your picks, you provide the reasoning behind the picks that you make, which I really enjoy. Great video Andy. Summed up a lot of the key moments. I managed 2 teams this season. One wasn't too far from the template with hits and risks kept to a minimum. That team finished just outside the top 500k. Did have some awful luck with it tho. The other was mostly non-Halaand with differential captains. Finished 70k!!

Been watching your videos since last season and after a few weeks into this season, my only goal was to beat Andy and win my mini leagues. Won all 3 of my mini leagues (Thanks Andy) and OR was 26k (highest ever OR). Would love to go higher next season of course but I would certainly pay more attention to price raises next season. My team value was decent but definitely could have been better. I tend to wait till Friday to make my transfers and missed plenty of price raises. Took less hits this season and hopefully next season, I can continue to take less hits. Thanks again Andy and can’t wait for next season and your great content.

This might come across as a bit random, but a really good chip idea would be to have a super sub. You can use it after games have finished, to replace somebody else in your squad. So for example one of your starters got 2pts and a bench player got 15, you could swap them. Only allowed to use the chip once in the season

I learnt one lesson. I BB'd when Haaland was returning from injury and I used it to cover him either starting or coming off the bench and going big when fewer managers would have him or start him, which was stupid of me. He came off the bench as it happened, 1 point.
I did the same two mistakes this season as last season; 1: I used FH to bring in a whole bunch of players I'd otherwise never own just because they played that week. 2: I took more hits to align the benchboost than it was worth. My main issue with FPL is that the Captain is so massively important. It's not really any reward for having a better overall team, it is so much about picking the right captain. I would like the current captain removed, and a bonus score added to the team for the median player in the team (doubling the 6th best player in your side).
My first season playing, and biggest lesson was probably to not hold onto underperforming players on bad form for too long. I held on to the likes of Rashford and Bowen for too long through their bad spells thinking the turn was going to come back. Gotta learn to cut losses and move on.

I had Dalot and Onana on bench but like you they were never getting played. So satisfying to get the captain right, Foden. Final rank 184k, best in my 5 seasons of playing, up from 400k last season.

In FH34 I wanted Cunha, he got injured so I went Mateta, I did play Pickfort because of DGW with zero expectations and White because he is a legend and I got 157 pts🎉
Wasn’t doing great but wc in gw30 killed my season. Picked Udogie, Lascelles, Ake, Richarlison… Spent rest of season trying to fix it, and missed quite a bit on FH34 because I got the wrong palace player ( no Mateta)
I won my mini league but finished 300k. Was 40k at one poiny Lessons I've learnt that cost me: I went Darwin when he had that good run of form. Got me 2 returns in the next 8 odd games I had him. Keeping Haaland was a good idea even when he wasn't in such good form. He was my advantage in the final few games. I let liverpool bias take over by buying Gravenberch, Nunez and Jones and different times. Branthwaite saved my season. Started him most games and in that double he kept me clear of 2nd place
Andy, you did great. Around the world there are tens of thousands of people worldwide winning their mini-leagues by basically copying FPL Harry and the like. Top 50K is the new top 5k. 💯
finished within top 4,000. Some good picks, some mistakes and some good luck (especially captaining Foden and Palmer for hat trick weeks), Don't expect to ever hit these heights again though
It doesn't have to be prices that need changing to make things interesting. I mean there could always be a Cole Palmer emerging from nowhere, you can't legislate for that. Instead limit it to 2 players per Prem team, that forces more choices on players and should spread players out to teams you would never even look at.
my aim for the last 3 season has been to get into top 100k, I got 249k, then worse into 420k, and this year 350k. last year I ended up spending 11GW's between 300-500k which was irritating because I never felt I was getting anywhere, and this year I managed to break that same record and ended up spending 20GW's! between 300-500k I honestly cant believe it. This year in GW37 I was 270k and feeling good about it until my Isak, Vicario and Porro got 34 points on my bench and ruining my day. Anyway after another pointless season for me ill go again next year and yet again aim for top 100k
Finished 32k, topped out at 13k but not having Gvardiol for his huge double sent me spiraling. My 3rd year watching PL and playing EPL, so my target was 250k.
You know how tight it is in the top 100K? My total is 2515 and I've finished at 54,639 so 9 points is 10k places. No wonder we were all bobbing up and down throughout the year.
I finished 48k. My best other two rankings are both 49k. I'm pretty consistent in that regard. I felt this year though that free hit gw34 was too powerful. That one week propelled me from 260k to 60k. I don't think there should be one week that can save your season. To be honest I'm not sure I deserve the rank I got at the end.
I think a lesson learned from what I have gained from playing fpl for two seasons now is, most of the time for the forwards, go for a “king striker” (meaning strikers who are their focal point of their team and are clinical) like haaland, watkins, isak. Nunez isn’t a king striker and not clinical.
I’ve learnt to plan my chips more. To often I’ve thought I’d go this way just to be different and it’s gone horribly wrong apart from haalands DGW triple captain that’s my worst chip ever !!!! 🤣
What if the price change folks reserve the right to bump a player 0.2 up or down depending on injuries, club change and/or we messed up. But only a number of times per gw
Wanted top 100k for the first season of really taking FPL “seriously”, obviously just a game but actually trying to get high rank. Was 33k and above you for a long time and my my the drop off. Finished 363k
You were disappointed that you didn’t finish your highest in GW38. I was 2k in GW2 and then I got 10 red arrows in 11 weeks from 27-37 and I ended up 134k
My season review : - Am losing my mini league by just 5 points. Most of it due to having to take a hit to get Salah in for GW38. Differential captain Salah but could've won it if differential captain was Foden or Mateta. - FH 29 is a very very bad idea/gamble. Not going to make this mistake ever again. - Gvardiol end-of-season form is a mega b**ch BUT the good news is it won't happen again in another 10-15 years. Would still prioritize attacks instead of defense come the end of season. - Missing out on Foden points, Saka points and Palmer points due to playing those with better fixtures is also annoying. - I am pro lesser cup games, the fixtures rearrangement is a massive headache. I don't need more stress in life. - I think Salah is done. I am definitely going No Salah next season. Only fixtures can make me think twice.
Another Top 10K finish, despite a wobbly start. I'm finding it less and less interesting as the seasons go by, just not much challenge left. Perhaps I need a new hobby.
FPL is in a huge way a game of luck. You just said that many times in many videos. For example Salah+Saliba vs. Trent+Eze choice was about 50/50. Oddsmakers gave bigger chance for scoring a goal to Salah, but it turned out that Eze hauled massively. You would never know that and people tend to underestimate luck once they are doing well. That is why I always laugh at people bragging here about beating you or having some 5k finish. Yeah, you've won at the lottery except you didn't win any money, what is to brag about? My biggest lesson is that if I can be happy about FPL regardless of the points my players score in any particular week, this is how i WIN in FPL. Because everything other than fun doesn't matter (unless I win 1st place). I finished 10k, I just had better luck, I finish 1M, I had bad luck. The decisions I made were the same quality in both cases. I win no money being top 1k, and I win no money being 1M. I can only brag, but if people understand there is so much luck in this game -again - what is it to brag about? Be happy with your squad. Get the players you like, from the teams you like and be happy for having them. Of course pick the players that also can score many points. But focusing only on points is cheap. I could copy Andy’s team every week and finish in top50k and 1st in mini league, but where is fun? What’s the point of doing that?

I think GW31 was when I needed to take a time out from FPL. It was very refreshing and worked a treat.

Nah I think the fact back up players can be cheap and shine makes it fun imo. But I agree Saka and Son need to be higher. I hate template

My season review :
- Am losing my mini league by just 5 points. Most of it due to having to take a hit to get Salah in for GW38. Differential captain Salah but could've won it if differential captain was Foden or Mateta.
- FH 29 is a very very bad idea/gamble. Not going to make this mistake ever again.
- Gvardiol end-of-season form is a mega b**ch BUT the good news is it won't happen again in another 10-15 years. Would still prioritize attacks instead of defense come the end of season.
- Missing out on Foden points, Saka points and Palmer points due to playing those with better fixtures is also annoying.
- I am pro lesser cup games, the fixtures rearrangement is a massive headache. I don't need more stress in life.
- I think Salah is done. I am definitely going No Salah next season. Only fixtures can make me think twice.

You don't need to have 11 players in a BGW where there are only 4 fixtures from 8 teams, and only one of the top teams is playing.

Another Top 10K finish, despite a wobbly start. I'm finding it less and less interesting as the seasons go by, just not much challenge left. Perhaps I need a new hobby.

FPL is in a huge way a game of luck. You just said that many times in many videos. For example Salah+Saliba vs. Trent+Eze choice was about 50/50. Oddsmakers gave bigger chance for scoring a goal to Salah, but it turned out that Eze hauled massively. You would never know that and people tend to underestimate luck once they are doing well. That is why I always laugh at people bragging here about beating you or having some 5k finish. Yeah, you've won at the lottery except you didn't win any money, what is to brag about?
My biggest lesson is that if I can be happy about FPL regardless of the points my players score in any particular week, this is how i WIN in FPL. Because everything other than fun doesn't matter (unless I win 1st place). I finished 10k, I just had better luck, I finish 1M, I had bad luck. The decisions I made were the same quality in both cases. I win no money being top 1k, and I win no money being 1M. I can only brag, but if people understand there is so much luck in this game -again - what is it to brag about?
Be happy with your squad. Get the players you like, from the teams you like and be happy for having them. Of course pick the players that also can score many points. But focusing only on points is cheap. I could copy Andy’s team every week and finish in top50k and 1st in mini league, but where is fun? What’s the point of doing that?
