The juvenile ferrets nearly made me cry, they’re beautiful though! My first ferret looked just like them and died young as well, so it’s nice to see other young ferrets being honored this way. The playing pose is perfect, the taxidermist really captured the essence of ferrets!
Taxidermy is such a sad yet interesting thing to me. I’m a big animal lover so I feel a little sad with each one shown, but this is good for education on anatomy and other sorts. It’s also a fairly unique art, almost ironic. Bring life into something dead.
@stuffy nose patrol a lot of these animals pass away naturelyq at zoos or are hunted for food. I get what your saying but it is more ethical then buying grocery store meat.
The Giraffe must have taken the person forever! I can’t only imagine SKINNING a giraffes head and neck! That and the one with the Wolf and the Cougar, that one’s motion was amazing! Taxidermists are very talented and detailed workers
I really love the art of taxidermy but I’m always concerned about the ethics of it 😭 I believe there’s ways to have it be completely ethical but I’m never sure when I see it! Are there taxidermy shows that show concern for those things?
I agree, I really hope this is all ethical especially because there are some endangered animals in this 'collection' not sure if that's the right word to use
They definitely were not. They were either harvested for food, or wildlife management, found dead (roadkill), or were euthanized etc. at a zoo. Taxidermy is a way to utilize the skin of the animal that would otherwise go to waste 🙂
@@ashleyeve would you be willing to make a short on this subject? The only taxidermy I, and probably a lot of other folk, are aware of is from hunting.
Oh that deer scratching itself is gorgeous. I love mounts that aren't just the standard pose. And almost all shoulder deer mounts are the same pose. In love with that boy.
img theyre all so cuteeee! it does make me really sad that all of those animals are dead though :( even if they werent specifically killed FOR this, ims still sad that these beautiful individual animals arent alive anymore :(
I absolutely love your work. I am a animal person so it does make me a little sad, but these help honor and remember the animals. It makes me sad seeing such young babies. Hope theyre running free in heaven❤
the facial expressions are flawless! stunning work and attention to detail, i am absolutely in love with all of these works of art (specially the big cats omg
I am….in AWE. Such incredible work. There’s also something so crazy about seeing this many animals of so many different species, looking so life like in the same place. Must have felt surreal to actually see this in person. We live in a crazy world….we actually coexist with all of these beautiful and varied creatures. Wild.
These are some amazing art pieces. Taxidermy is such a difficult form of art to get perfect and some of these animals look positively lifelike! I would love to see some work like this in person one day
im obsessed with mounts where it looks like theres a lion or mountain lion or wolf's or something after another animal, so my favorite is hands down the wolf getting hunted
I've never seen such gorgeous taxidermy before!! I'm truly impressed, how can they recreate the facial expressions so perfectly and give so much life to the poses, these are masterpieces. This art is not common in my country but I've always wanted to learn how to do it 💕 thank you for sharing this 🥺
That giraffe is how I look when I’m looking at my friends 😂 I’m so tall compared to them. But tbh this work is amazing and you really are able to capture the beauty and power of each animal❤
In my opinion is your best short also by your video i found this great song and I wish start taxidermy This puma hunting wolf is best of all times and survive ages like Venus of Milo
oh my word this is so cool! i didnt k iw that they did all thise different kinds if animals! whenever you showed the lion manikin my jaw dropped. imagine how long that took 😂
ive always been curious on how do you get the skin? like for personal projects do you order them from somewhere or do you get commissioned by people who already have it? taxidermy is so fascinating but i cant help but have so many questions
I know people would feel bad for these animals. It is sad to see such beautiful creatures like that. Most of these are either road kill or legally killed. Many are used for educational purposes like colleges, labs, and data collecting. Others for museums to help people understand these animals when they wouldn't see them every day. Its used to raise awareness if poaching and give people a sense of connection and understanding. Much like how you feel when you see this video. As an example. White bucks are Extremely rare too see. The only survivers you will see will be those in sanctuaries and livestock farms. Taxidermy helps Rangers and biologists see animals like this one which normally you would only see in photos, which can be edited. Its very difficult to fake a pelt as its hair follicles can be observed under a microscope and dye can easily be detected.

They really captured the expressions well! So much of this art, especially when done well, really does honor the animals 💚
@GamerGames068they didn’t get killed they probably just died
Wow wow that wolf and mountain lion mount is amazing!! Youre so lucky to get to see all those rare and beautiful mounts in person ^^
These were at the world championships - anyone can walk through the showroom, I think it’s like $10 admission or so!
they're amazing. the suspended wolf is so impressive, these mounts are unlike anything I've seen. they show so much movement and character

Согласна, сделаны очень красиво и качественно. Но становится жалко тех животных... Даже если их не убивали. Но очень красиво.

I feel the same way but I know this is just a way of honoring these animals ❤
@@ek9447I think the animals would prefer to be alive than Honoured

I honestly find taxidermy incredibly interesting- and another thing- how do people get into this kinda hobby or job?
I have a full video on “How to Get Into Taxidermy” 🙂
I want to know too
The cougar and wolf one is neat, they all are, sad all the animals had to die though.

You can taxidermy roadkill, a lot of taxidermists also use animals that died in zoos and whatnot.
@@kpina2081 I doubt a lot of those lions and big predators were road kill, tough
@@Fwootgummi
I never said they were? What's your point here?
I agree, I really hope this is all ethical especially because there are some endangered animals in this 'collection' not sure if that's the right word to use
@@kpina2081 the point of probably only that they were maybe killed unethically
those otters are awesome! i love the use of the driftwood and the dynamic poses
Bro that little fox dog thing broke my heart 💔😭😭
I'm really hoping these animals weren't hunted just to be taxidermied.

May I ask how you have gotten these animal skins? Were they donated from like a zoo or something?
They look incredible
That’s Amazing! I’m hoping to someday when I’m older learn and become a full time taxidermist. 👍
Do it!!
The cougar and the wolf’s taxidermy looks great!! I also love the expression on that bobcat/ lynx. (Not sure)
