    Missed seeing your videos over the winter. This is a great start for Spring 2024. No sweat on the one that got away. You had plenty of fun with that fish. That big bow is so beautiful. Well done!

      Thanks James!
      Just a heads up, Gatlinburg trout facility will be closed from April to October. So the river will not be stocked. It may be a ghost town!

    Are you doing guidework yet? Need to catch you out on the water maybe you can school me as to why I cant catch any of those fish lol. I was out there just a few days ago and I couldnt even find fish.
    I chalked it up to the 3 otters hangin around with me but now I dunno

      Sam, the clinch is tricky. They are times when I’d go out and just get completely skunked and then a week later have the best day.
      You honestly never know how it’s gonna fish.

    what are you referring to when you say “watching out for reds”?

    • @TheTroutGuy1
      @TheTroutGuy1  7 месяцев назад

      Rainbows spawn and swim up river in the spring. Making nests on the river bed. They’re called Redds. The REDDS will look like gravel and rock that have been, I guess you could say “turned over”. Idk how to explain it. But google an image of a trout Redd. And you’ll be able to see. But when you’re out you don’t wanna step in a redd or fish trout from redds. It’s very unethical.

    Hey I’m a student in Knox. Where’s the best spot to wade and walk and fish?

    • @TheTroutGuy1
      @TheTroutGuy1  7 месяцев назад +1

      Closest would be the clinch river. In Norris.
      There’s a few places to park and fish.
      If you wanna fish GSMNP go up to the little river or Gatlinburg. The river that runs through Gatlinburg hold some big fish.
      Pigeon forge also holds trout. Get out there and explore bro!

      @@TheTroutGuy1 thanks man I appreciate it! I have been to that Norris dam state park but I only fished the bank. Looking for more of a wade-able scene now that it’s warmed up
