Look in my opinion this was the only one on the night that delivered both solid staging and vocally, all the others either lacked vocally or visually, I don't think this will qualify from the semi final at eurovision but I don't think any of them would after seeing them live. Also I blame Ireland for doing this selection on a chat show...
I agree. At one point during the performance I could hear one of the girls go off key and it sounded awful. The band provide enough backing by themselves without the banshees.
This song has a strong U2 vibe, who are one of the best and most famous bands in the world. They are also Irish so how you can think this is generic is beyond me.
Well, he's actually correct. Yes, I could hear the U2 sound both in the vocals and their guitar player. What I take from his point about being "generic" is that it sounds very familiar and Eurovision friendly. Compared to their other music, it sounds contrived for purpose.
Hes not the lead singer, and if some old grannies can get into the final then this should, its not the song its the stage show, you didnt tell us what this song is about,

Good fair accurate description
I wonder why people use the words generic like it's a terrible thing. Being radio friendly is a GOOD thing.

Yeah I don't think rte has the logic to do a full eurovision show
Don't blame us, it's RTÉ. They're broke, they have no money and won't give anymore to Eurovision budget.
@@abcdefg5625 yes sorry i should have been more specific its not ireland its the TV network your right.
@@ciyrainshgaming507 I don't think they lack logic so much as they are too mean to stage a full blown national contest. They are penny pinching.
I think this is a lovely song, loved it immediately. Definitely will make the final.
They need to lower them girls a bit
Mute them completely or better still they need to go.

I see you say the same thing on all the reaction to Ireland`s Eurovision entry. Get over it, Connolly was a horrible song.
We are entitled to our opinions. Now calm yourself! :-D
Connolly had the best song - but possibly the worst live vocal, this is in front of 200 million people remember
