In France, there are too much elevators for not enough Otis, Schindler, Kone and Thyssen staff. Often, elevators can stay more than one year without inspection. I think this is the case here.
@fabienpitorre This is nothing compared to the elevators in one of the last high buildings here in my city: the alarm button was completely destroyed, the panel had serious marks of attempts to light it on fire, and the floor was used so long it was 'bulging' down (it was kind of 'hollow' on the inside. The metal panels on the inside had all kinds of marks from people pissing on it, or other liquids that were spilled over. It was the first time I was scared the elevator would come to a halt...
This is so old elevator, what posed to be updated to create a new one isn't? Not bad this elevator to find. Bus, is a death trap of this elevator!... (Jeez!!) 😨
Merci cordialement, Johan.
Bonjour à tous, ne t'inquiète pas, le commandeur Charles Tucker III, Terran Task Force et la capitaine Jonathan Archer se chargeront de publier le vidéo intitulé "Dangerous and very old Westinghouse traction elevators located at Les Glovettes building, Villard de Lans". Merci cordialement, Johan.
Shouldn't replace old one out made a new ones of hi-techn elevator for safety better than this. But this is quite nightmare of elevator testing problems for one slim single & one single slide doors. It was very unsafe for lift enquipment. Should replace with one freshment hi-techn elevator better than. And should be take care of health & safety by elevator.
I don't see how this if dangerous. and if it was dangerous they would have the elevator shut down. because elevators HAVE to get inspected every year..
This lift is not dangerous! It's awesome!

mirror makes it look like an a stair case with a button to unlock
In france, elevators often meet a lot of vandalism, and this one is a good example.

The elevator itself already looks scary....

Did they not make a film/movie about this?? Called Schindler's lift????????
This one may be dangerous because of vandalism.
@fabienpitorre D'accord. Merci beaucoup! :D

Because i'm not afraid of elevators like this ;)
It says only "be careful, fresh paint in the stairs"
Its dangerous because its an old piece of history and it can get stuck
Indeed :)
why are there stairs in it?
How is this dangerous? It's not! Change name of vid!
+David Watkins I was asking the exact same question even before watching the comments :D missleading title!
It is when you open the door to find an empty shaft!
On this type of elevator, you physically cannot open the doors unless the elevator there behind the door, so the empty shaft argument is invalid.
unless the door doesnt lock properly or some ones like an idiot and has the key to release it
True.
It is old but safe!

This device in unsafe because of vandalism and bad maintenance...
2 persons???????
2 persons?
I have seen a lot of dangerous elevators, but this, i think is not dangerous, or?
Was that stairs on the other side?
elevator very poorly estimated, but not dangerous
Hydraulic, certainly.
Fabien Pitorre Non , vu le nombre de niveaux qu'il dessert ( 0/1 , 2/3 , 4/5 , 6/7 et 8/9 ) , il ne peut pas être hydraulique ;) c'est trop haut ;)
I don't see how this if dangerous. and if it was dangerous they would have the elevator shut down. because elevators HAVE to get inspected every year..
Seven segment displays?
Installed later ;)
in what ways?
be careful of this elevator!
what does the sign on the door say?
Kabouter Pongel Poussez ?
no three it was my mistake
How is this dangerous
I've been in one
If it's dangerous, why are you riding in it?
Why should this be dangerous?
Pourquoi "Dangerous" ? qu'as t'il de dangeux cet ascenseur ?
False title. I won't get those few minutes back
You're almost correct it's "Je ne suis jamais allé en France"
En France*
Dangerous? Then why are you riding it
Sometimes, I like risks
Because i'm not afraid of elevators like this ; )
