Mamoswine used to be one of the most oppressive tanks and lane bullies in the game but now he struggles to help out the team compared to other tanks and crustle is definitely the better option
How should you handle healing? Crustle has a lot of health and even both fruit won’t fully heal you and the furthest base takes too long. Should you teleport to base often?
Hey! I’m an old player returning after a long hiatus, just one question. I remember shell smash/stealth rocks with high crit sets being standard on crustle. Did they nerf that strategy or has the meta simply shifted?
Yeah they nerfed it by removing crit from stealth rocks. They buffed charizard so his ult overrides Crustle’s, and implemented so much cc that he can barely pull his ult. He either needs a tremendous rework, or some buffs to stay relevant because right now he’s only relevant when your team is competent which is almost never in solo queue.
The wall applies a 60% slow for 2sec on both deploy and destroy. The wall itself only lasts 3sec, but the slow mixed with the terrain change is like an effective 5sec debuff. Even if they jump over it much of the effect will still land (just remember to destroy the wall early). At lv11 its massive 80% slow is a pretty severe anchor with only a 5sec cooldown. Umbreon's mean look circle lasts 3.5sec(lv10) on a 9sec cooldown. Rock tomb is also easily targetable, hits multiple enemies and has massive range. So even if you only want to burn eject buttons with it, thats pretty handy for setting up KOs. The best part about Crustle is that if its not your style you can just choose shell smash and chase everything down.

i've been meaning to play crustle more often, my go to defender is normally goodra so it'd be nice to experiment !

I've got one answer to all this, dash moves/eject button exists so his walls are not as annoying as people make it sound
not every pokemon has dash moves though and no one is gonna solely pick one to avoid crustle
