Omg, I just happened to see this n what a perfect time. I just verdigried the same thing 3 days ago and was going to install it today HOWEVER, I’m going to change the colors n do exactly what you did. This is stunning n absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the tutorial.
That is a fantastic makeover! Never underestimate the power of paint. There is nothing like the sound of a fountain in the garden, it brings the garden to life. The heat has definitely arrived, even early in the morning is unbearable. Stay cool, Grayson!
I do love it!!! I had a question about sealing it, and I see you already answered it with yes you did. I JUST this morning, repainted my birdbath red and white... I picked it up this spring from yard sale. It had a crack running all the way through it. I knew I could patch it, and I did, and have been enjoing it all summer/along with the birds. But I did a roughed up red and white... I love it. I just saw a Canary at it, just now. I guess it passes their specs also :)
Grayson, just beautiful work. I like how you started with a Clean Slate with White Primer and built on this. Beautiful and Relaxing. Enjoy your Summer.
Wow! Excellent timing. You spontaneously came up on my feed, so grateful. My cousin was throwing out a similar fountain, I begged for it. It’s in great shape but desperately in need of a makeover. I was clueless but thanks to you, I know I can do this! Broken wrist, but Will get it done next month, fingers crossed! 🤞 Beautiful work, truly inspiring!
very nicely done, although a lot of work. It looks so natural. I allowed mine to patina naturally. It looks pretty good, although it took a few years. It's made of resin and not concrete.
@DorinePederzanistudios Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it. My fountain is also made of resin, but the technique I used makes it look like concrete. Just the look I was going for.
goodness. I have the exact fountain and it needs a lot of attention!!! can't wait to clean it up now. (well when it cools down in the fall). thank you Grayson. Do you use anything special to keep the moss/mildew from the small bowl?
Beautiful. I love the colors and especially the dark paint in the cracks. Thanks for the tips which I will use to paint my concrete pathway. Did you use a sealer after painting?
I love all your detail work it makes the end result terrific. Do you know how long your work will last in the elements? How about spraying the fountain with some kind of clear coat to extend it's life? And do you know where you got the kneeling angel in your video? I have them sprinkled throughout my gardens but I haven't seen one with the arms crossed like yours. TIA
I sprayed the fountain with a clear coat after the video. i didn't film that part. i think the finish will last for a few years. The Angel statue was a birthday gift a few years ago. Thanks for your comment.
Bit too beige...i would have gone more for greys.....think that would have looked better...a lot of work. Don't know if acrylic paints from Michaels are going to be durable enough for exterior
Truly beautiful work. I really enjoy watching you work. Very relaxing to an old woman.
Lol. Thanks Charlotte for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you Don. Thanks for your feedback.
An easier way to darken crevices is to spray the lighter color over all, then apply the darker color with a rag, wiping off the high points as you go.
Thanks for the tip

Doesn't concrete need to breath?
If you paint it with rustoleom won't it deteriorate faster? ❤️🙏
Thanks for your comment, This fountain isn't made of concrete. It's made of a resin material.
Painting cement won't peel?
Looks nice, yes the weather has been brutal
@3_3645 Thanks for the comment. It's not concrete. It's a resin material. Rust oleum paint lasts a while.
I have a small white birdbath I like but has gotten dark. I was wondering if there was a paint I could use on it. I will try this one.

I’m in eastern nc, what part of the state are you in?
Hi Wanda, I'm in, What is referred to as the piedmont area of N.C, on the Border of S.C
did you seal it with anything?
Yes, a lite clear coat of spray paint
could you have used a dark wax which can be rubbed off but it stays in all the cracks.
@@viktoriaannscotto6296 seems like it would be a good idea to try.
I wish you could show how the pump was connected. Its missing on mine.
You can pick a new one up at your local big box store
