Not many companies will take a step back and say hey this needs more work first. Instead, they release an incomplete game. Then you spend the better part of a year or so waiting for them to update the game with content it should have already had. I much prefer waiting and getting a completed game instead of playing in bursts as it's updated.

Ooh I'll be looking forward to the Professor Layton game! I used to play that and Phoenix Wright so much on DS. Some of my favorite looking games from the 2000s! Also I LOVED the Europa demo and I CAN'T WAIT for the full game release!
Part of me is still interested in Tales of the Shire and part of me wonders why everything I've seen from the game looks sooo ugly? Are they in such a rush to release it or is there no budget to speak of? I'm concerned. It feels weird how much LotR-related games and the like are being pumped out lately, as if the Tolkien estate is strapped for cash. I'm worried that it's going to ruin the legacy of Tolkien's world (granted, not that all the old games were great, but at least there was some good stuff to balance it out).
I've played demo for bloomtown. The world building is awesome, I got invested in a story, and I'm of the generation when going to grandpas/uncles for holidays and trying to keep yourself entertained is just striking a cord with me. I wanted to like magical delicacy, I really did, but as a pc player without a console moving around was just too arduous. But I love the graphics.
That Layton game.. How are they taking notes directly on the screen?? Is the switch 2 dual screen maybe? Or do you have to play it in handheld and do that with your finger? Many questions I have... Well actually only one

I agree that arceus is better, but ive only played that and Scarlet (and pokemon go, lol) so im kinda new into pokemon. I love most of the lego games so i just hope it performs good on the switch honestly. Im sure Neva, Afterlove and Europa will become beautiful favourites. Tales of the shire, as you say, can go either way, no inbetween.
games like stray rely alot on graphics for immersion haha cant wait to see it on the powerhouse that is the switch guarante its running at 30 fps or less prob less

I’ve played potionomics on pc. It’s not a very good deck building game. Ypu have to invest all your time towards upping the quality of ingredients early to avoid a game over. It could have benefited from a rouge lite element of here’s a game over, start back at this point with everything you have unlocked.
Potentially never now - the publisher they were under ‘restructured’ by firing everyone. And unfortunately the publisher are the people handling the port to the switch

This is the one thing about this game I don't like. It's perfectly fine to give a male character a sword so he can fight on his own but a woman is not allowed to be fully independent so she needs to have monsters to do the job for her. This is truly a sexist outlook on what a heroine's responsibility should be and there is no reason for her to be denied fighting with a sword to take control of her kingdom on her own terms. True she does have her own set of skills which revolves around magic and while I do enjoy the mechanics this should have been secondary with sword fighting still the main skill to defeating the monsters. As someone that strongly believes in gender equality this is a step back in a game that is a step forward. Women should be allowed to fight with 🗡️⚔️ not have a copy of a monster do what she could have done on her own. So on one hand she has her own skills to defeat monsters but at the expense of being denied a skill that has been there from the beginning. I do not recall Link being denied a sword for an entire game even once so why is this okay to do for a female character? 13:13
I agree. I'm a bit bummed by the fact we can't fight in this game. People said if there was fighting there was a risk she'd become female link but I wish she would fight with a different style (spells maybe ?).

But it still bothers me that, the second a mainline Zelda game features a female protagonist, the sword fighting is gone.
To be fair, just about every Zelda game has "controversy" around it foe something, only for it to be admired years later for it's art or creativity.

There are no micro transactions but there will will a lot of paid DLC. As it is currently on Apple Arcade and the released updates every 3-6 weeks.
