Flaming Dragon comment on the Other guys had me rolling. top tier content. And when Jake mentioned the slow-mo coffee spilling realization. I'm afraid the cop was a dunce, and just had to be in the dark about who and what was unfolding. I'm sure some big-time lawyers made a few calls and we saw the fastest booking and processing of anyone in history of correctional facilities. 2nd Degree assault?? CMMMOOONNNNN

You don't lose your job over arresting someone famous. Is it the best look? No. But if police officers went around hesitant to arrest someone because they're famous, or constantly worried about making sure someone committing an offense might be some celebrity, that's a problem. The public image of celebrities getting special treatment, especially when an officer is injured by their vehicle, isn't a good one. It's not uncommon at all for officers to grab a car to try and get a door open if it's considered to be "fleeing." It does appear to be a really bad case of possible misunderstanding. However, he's been charged, and they don't seem to be backing down just because his name is Scottie Scheffler. When the full police report and/or camera footage comes out, along with the actual facts, would be the time to analyze and make a judgement on the situation.

Yes but when a cop is on a power trip and gets butthurt ands makes a bogus arrest, it is not a good look for the city or police department. Also, if he truly committed “assault” on a police officer, then no way a bunch of other cops would be talking to him and shaking his hand after the round and press conference.

@@lilbird7183 hence the part where I said “When the full police report and/or camera footage comes out, along with the actual facts, that would be the time to analyze and make a judgement on the situation.”

Why yall joking about cops getting fired? He’s innocent until proven guilty but you don’t even know the full circumstances.
