The mask alone is a problem. For some reason the mask always looked bad in the sequels in comparison to the original & Halloween 2018.. you should never see Michaels eyes makes him so much more menacing
IMO, I think it’s the first 15 minutes that everyone hates the most. After that the film isn’t THAT bad. Cut out the forced, nonsensical, and contrived reason why Michael’s alive, and Laurie’s stupid death and you get a pretty good B film.
When the Michael Myers character was created he blurred the line between super natural and human. He is the living persona of the boogy man also known as the shape.

John Carpenter and Debra Hill gave him those qualities when they created the character. Also Michael Myers was supposed to be a one off. John Carpenter wanted the Halloween movies to be anthologies. Each movie would have their own story and characters, but Michael Myers was such a hit the studio went against that premise.
I get it. But the reason they gave as to why he’s alive here was one of the worst excuses, and one of the most forced. You’re telling me that paramedic didn’t try and take the mask off, and somehow didn’t break any bones getting thrown through a windshield (he stood up almost immediately) and hit straight on by the van? The only reason he reached out at the end of H20 was because he knew he was gonna die.

Funny thing is, for as much as Sara screams in the movie, and as powerful as her scream is supposed to be, the actress didn't have a good scream, so they had to overdub every single one.
THE stupidest thing about this movie is that once everyone else watching the livestream of Sara being chased by the real Michael nobody calls the police. It’s a house in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, where are all the cops?

The entire theater laughed. 🤣 the most entertaining scene in the movie. @14:24 I figured he gave the patient the knife so he can pin the murders on him. The psych hospital had the worst security and protocols already, I doubt there were any cameras in the hallways for them to even know who did what. They definitely didn't even bother to try to find Michael this entire time.
The most unrealistic thing is that that house 'couldnt sell'. The Amityville house sold a few years back for 850k, and that's a house where a crazy dude thats currently alive killed 6 people. Michaels house would 100% be a themed bed and breakfast right now

Between the stuff at the beginning in the Asylum and the Busta scenes you guys described in the review it feels like they gave up on making this horror movie and decided to make it a comedy. I want to watch this because of how hilarious this sounds lmao.

Same, it's not the best but not the worst. It's enjoyable and scary while hilarious at times. I'll never NOT laugh at the part when Busta was cursing out Michael when he was dressed up as him. 😂🤣

Literally the first hour of H20 was just characters walking and talking. It only picked up pace for the last 35 minutes which was admittedly good.

I first saw this classic Halloween “sequel” in theaters then; now, I got it in my iphone library for eternity. Bless Busta Rhymes’ contribution to this franchise; I’m not mad. He did his best with what they gave him; I love this sequel because of Busta R. & Jamie L Curtis cameo🤷🏻♀️🏚⏳
Before the new Halloween 2018, the true sequels to me that were canon were. Halloween, Halloween 2, Halloween: 20 years later. This along with the rest i didnt count. However I have to admit they had their moments. Like this movie with Busta Rythms doing a kick to Micheal Myers.
