- Hey everyone and this is my simple and easy to digest guide for beginners to the army general game mode in steel division 2 , I know that this mode can be overwhelming to many new players to the game and i hope this guide helps you get into the game and to be victorious in your army general campaigns.

I bought the game a week ago and jesus fuck ive messed up so many times ive lost count. Im on turn 9 and just barely got myself into Orsha lmao.
No shame in that you can do a glorious counter attack to win the battle .

Man, just came to update. My gameplay improved so well that im one battle away from the final objective and its turn 15!! I really didnt think i'd make it. Thank you dude!

Question. If you lose a tank or squad in battle can you replenish it again?
I mean after the battle end
Not in Army General so always best to try to save things from destruction in battle , but you can call in reinforments in the strategy layer , hope this helps .
Controlling up to 5 divisions seems quite overwhelming, should I let the AI take control of some of them, or should I take control of them all?
Never let the AI do anything there awfull ahah just slow the game down on the speed buttons or pause if you need to buddy .
i usally only control 2-3 divisions and give the rest to Ai
Couple questions... just started a coop last night with my brothers.. what does the star mean next to the letter of phase entry...A* for example. Also it seems some regiments they get in certain phases are hidden.. is there a way to see their offscreen regiments
It means that the unit, for its nature, is unable to engage a battle on its own. For example, planes are A*: so they cannot start a fight if you don't have another unit on the ground in A, sorry for not explaining this well in the video , hope this helps good Sir .
Also the hidden regiments I don't know how to discover them , but always expect enemy air support or artillery just in case.

I can't defeat a single battle as a beginner.
What I find really irritating is that I can't approach a battle in a methodical tactical way with the entire army available from the beginning.
Instead, you have a slow trickle of troops that you must use along the entire duration of the battle and while doing that you are being rushed by the timer...
I'd prefer if you had the entire army right from the beginning and the battles were less dependent on a timer and more on the annihilation of the enemy army on the field.
My advice with your initial force would be make sure to have enough infantry to hold the line , and prioritize AT so they AI cannot tanks rush you buddy .
