I have watched a few practice sessions with Igor and Dimash, and the Maestro is always listening to Dimash’s suggestions. Like in “Stranger”, I believe Dimash suggested putting the Dombra in the song. Always a wonderful partnership! AND also, many of Lara’s lyrics are part of Dimash’s repertoire. Beautiful song. I'd love that to understand how you were drawn to music and what you did from a young age, obviously you were playing piano but what inspired you. Thank you! I just always enjoyed music and really started progressing when I stopped piano lessons aged around 15. It was at this point where I could just play what I wanted (which was a lot of learning Chopin by ear)! And I used to transcribe songs and barbershop and whatever else in my spare time
I thought I was the only fool, I'm 62, and I fell in love seriously when my boyfriend played Chopin to me over the phone. I can still remember every minute of it.

Thank you! I just always enjoyed music and really started progressing when I stopped piano lessons aged around 15. It was at this point where I could just play what I wanted (which was a lot of learning Chopin by ear)! And I used to transcribe songs and barbershop and whatever else in my spare time

I thought I was the only fool, I'm 62, and I fell in love seriously when my boyfriend played Chopin to me over the phone. I can still remember every minute of it.
