- THIS ONLY WORKS FOR P.C. Lets access the DEVELOPER CONSOLE in Stranded Deep and we can bend the very FABRIC of reality!!! Really though this is a useful feature in any game mode depending on your want to....well cheat haha.
This is amazing for CREATIVE mode allowing you to build super quickly to make amazing structures or just enhance what you already have. Or in Real Play mode if you really need it.
In this series of How To we are going to be going through all of the important talking points in SD and how to approach the game. Today is the Developer console that allows us to access the "CHEATS" in game.
Developer Console (no CAPS)
CODE ACTION
\ - Open/Close console
fps true/false - Turn on/off fps counter
system - Shows computer Specs
help list - Shows most of the console commands
clear - Clears dev console of commands
dev.god - Activates fly mode (enter again to disable)
dev.console true - Activates Spawn list and Flymode button
/ - Opens/closes dev console true list
dev.time (1-24) - Changes clock to imputed time (ex dev.time 8 = 8am, dev.time 20 = 8pm)
You will see a few in the help list not shown here. Those are primarily for devs diagnostics of the game, so not very useful to players.
I do really enjoy and recommend this survival game. For the price you are paying, this game is worth it! I know there is a lot of negativity, due to the Developers pretty much non-existent updates, but there is still a great deal of potential, if only due to the modding community and the Island maker that is the games saving grace, that gives us access to a wider world of survival options.
Stranded Deep has many great gaming points to a survival game and anyone who is interested in creating your own fun version of Cast Away or want to create a world of self torture, this game is for you! Thanks ya'll, we were Late In The Game, but better late then never! Have a great play!

how do you delete an item like big containers when using dev.console true?
As stated in the video, you can't delete a spawned object. Make sure to save your game before adding anything in. Play around with how to place certain objects and then, once your happy with it, save your game. You've gotta be careful using this feature as it's truly on for the devs to see how objects look and react to the world.
However, you can destroy certain items with an ax, but the containers will still have a base structure around them.
Are there commands to change the weather
No, as far as I know there are no codes to change the weather conditions. Good idea though.

Can you help pls? When spawning for example Water still, or some plant like Yucca (probably other things as well), it spawns mid air. What can we do for it to spawn on the ground?
This is a great question that i am still answering myself.
Step 1: save game
Step 2 : crouch and spawn from lowest point on terrain.
Step 3: save if it looks good.
Step 4: give up and spawn in resources needed to craft what you want to place

As I said in the vid, once it's in it will never leave. It's better to create a separate save file to mess with this feature, get a good idea on how to place certain things so they look right, and then try it in the game file you play in.

No unfortunately the Developers havent implemented a dev console for xbox or playstation but they say they may work on it soon so another 5 years probably 😅. Ive been hearing this alot since the update, it seems like you can only access it if your on the experimental version now. Although some have gotten it to open with the ¢ key.

It seems to be specific to version and region, unfortunately it seems like kind of a hit and miss. Sorry I can't help

No, but you can spawn in a bunch of items and craft for a bit to increase skills!

Unfortunately I have no idea if the devs removed the console in the newer versions. If the commands do not work, try another version, but be aware you could lose your save files

/ forward slash opens the command console, after you input dev.console true and hit enter,, back slash will open the dev console. Sorry it took so long to reply. Please let me know if this works for you. Have a great play!

To use the sunscreen simply use the action button or however you pc'ers attack lol 😁

@@lateinthegame438 i love it, i built a really big house and a watch tower an some other stuff but unfortunately the console is limited so my game lags really hard whenever i travel and look in the direction of my island 😑

I did a vid about menu and graphics. Some of it is unnecessary and you can turn it off. My vid actually may not be the best since your on console. But you can mess with draw distance and texture to try to get some frames back. 😁

In my case I've taken resources from every island back to mine, i refuse to duplicate anything or copy in any way lol. I used my birthday for my custom seed and only use what it provides 😎

Cool that you have it but id sell it over keeping it for the bragging rights. Cuz at the end of the day no one cares deep down that you have one. Not in a negative way of course. I dont agree at all. I know loads of people that still care about the OG systems. The nostalgia is the key. Its not the same playing Super Mario 64 on an emulator. You've gotta have the original to enjoy it the same way you did as a kid when it was released. Different level of appreciation.

Oh that sucks! Happens to the best man. Those Pipi can be a hassle. Ive had to restart at least twice for the same reason.
