Glad I came across your channel. Glad to see a new generation making plastic crappie jigs. I made thousands back in the 70's and 80's here in SC. Around here then curly tails were king. Most of my molds were Lexan that could make up to three. I have a machine shop background, so I made some multi cavity molds from aluminum with some sucess. till have all the equipment complete with cobwebs. Brought back some pleasant memories. I will subscribe. Best of luck to you.
Been thinking about getting into making my own baits for a while now and after seeing this bait it will probably be my first own I go with. They look awesome.
How do you guys sleep at night knowing that your molds are so awesome??? Really can't wait to get one and put the smack down on crappies this spring!!!
I love those baits. Used to be able to buy those exact profile baits at wal mart made by Crappie Magic. For whatever reason wal mart quit selling them about 4 years ago. They were my go to baits. If live minnows and other baits weren’t working I’d slip one of those on and would be catching crappies in no time.
I just bought this mold and can’t wait for it to come in and make some baits. How important is it to have the fan in your shop area? I have a very small shop that is about 12’x20’ but just have a small window unit in it because it gets very hot here in Texas!
I ordered the mold and it pours awesome. However I have a mold very similar with a split tail that catches more crappies in my area. If you make a mold like this with a split tail I would surely buy one.. your molds are awesome.
I just starting pouring baits and I was looking for a good crappie mold. I have never purchased a mold... just acquired them. I want to make this one part of the family.
Hey Jason and Amanda I was wondering if there was any way to machine a soft bodied crankbait mold with a lip and a through wire connection or a lip less crank bait for that matter. You guys do wonderful work.
That is really a nice bait just a suggestion add a luminous green powder that glows in the dark I found it on ebay for a few dollars it's for security you think it is just powder but when exposed to light it will glow in the dark
Hey!! I'm new to pouring. Please inform me on where the lime & sky blue colors come from. What are the two containers of powder & where can I get those? I will be purchasing a mold from you soon. Will you be doing more videos on how to do mutli color crappie baits?? Thank you sir!
Hey! The limetreuse/sky blue pigments and powders came from BaitPlastics.com. We recommend their plastisol as well and yes we will be doing lots of videos in the future that can be related to making any type of baits including crappie baits!
Do you have any starter kits? Basically, something for beginning, like a package including microwave, heat gun, pyrex, thermometer, etc.? I think it might be a clever idea to maybe set up a starter kit on your site, or even some links for your recommendations if nothing else. I know I would appreciate suggestions.
Hey guys. GREAT VIDEOS!! I'm a crappie fisherman and would love to start making my own plastics. Is there a website where I can get this equipment and colors? This stuff is awesome!! Can't wait to start my nee hobby.
When you create the initiate bait with the colors selected, how are people able to color the tails a different color? Example: black body with Chart tail
You can shoot the mold what tail color you want and then cut off the tail. Install the tail in the empty mold then shoot the body color. Also you can buy a tail mold to shoot tails only.
Just started hand pouring my epic pud’s. I can’t wait to get injectors and injection molds too. Anyone has any preferences on dual injectors, let me know.
I concur on the N2. I have a dual and it shoots beautifully. The block has curves so that the plastisol doesn’t get stuck in an angle. Great design. In fact, I liked the block design so much, I bought a second to use with my Bass Tackle dual injector when I’m shooting larger orders
Do guys sell these baits ? I got to many irons in the fire as it is my wife would kill me if I took a new hobby , Your state is where I got my personal best black Crappie 18.5 inch at Ohatchee Dam on the Cusca river . We always had a freezer full fish when we lived in Bama .
So if a person is no longer able to do things, like have all that equipment and stuff like that to make these little Baits, how would a person get a bunch to try??
Lots of people sell baits made from our molds! Shoot us a message at epicbaitmolds@gmail.com and we will send over some links to customers that sell the baits
@@EpicBaitMolds I watch Marling Baits all the time! He's got a real gift! I love the real fat soft plastic (4" or so?) baits, so I went to his store...not there. I enjoy your videos too! You guys sure do good work together. God bless you both. 🙂
Hey bro, do you sell jigs? I would love some gold and pearl, blue and monkey milk, purple and monkey milk, monkey milk and chart....the list goes on haha
Great video. Instructions, machining, metal, fishing, family... perfect.

Very fine! I've been holding out for a crappie mold. I believe I found it!
Well you hoked me! Just now ordered one. I have lots of crappie molds, but not this one. The 24 cavity mold is what sold me! Great video!

Great looking bait. 👌
Fantastic video I had no idea what it took to make plastics. Very informative. Professional Production also. Where can I purchase some of your baits
Great looking crappie baits! That shape works great under a slip bobber rig
We will have to try the slip bobber rig with it!
I LOVE it, killer shape. I cant wait for mine to get here.
You guys will love shooting this one!
That was pretty cool.
Good looking bait. I wonder will the lines give a little vibration in the water to help fish locate it better.
It might!
Amazing what you do man! Please remind nate that we miss his uploads 😔
Haha I will let Nate know!
Been thinking about getting into making my own baits for a while now and after seeing this bait it will probably be my first own I go with. They look awesome.

Drop......Shot.....All day. Gunna need this one!

Before you pulled them apart if you cut in half it would make a killer bass bait. Looks like a crazy centipede

They sell these lure things in the store, like in a package already made. If you go to Walmart and check the fishing section they have tons of them.
I just bought this mold and can’t wait for it to come in and make some baits.

Hello! We definitely recommend ventilation when working with plastisol
I just had mine delivered yesterday. My son and I can't wait to put it to work. Any chance if a tail mold? You do great work. Thank you.
So question I could send you a bait and you could make a mold from it? Do you sell the injectors as well? Thanks. Enjoyed the video.

I am thinking about buying this mold since I like the shad look bait. Did you also get a degasser is it really needed?
@@slaakzyt I do not use a degausser. I have no problem with this mold. Dead on plastic seems not to have bobble problems with me.
Any plans for making a tail mold for this guy or perhaps a core shot version?
Looking into a tail mold!

We have been looking into started kits for a while and plan to do something in the near future.
Will you offer this in a bigger capacity mold..?
Do you guys make a 1.5 tube mold?
Think you can make a 1.5inch version?
What dual injector do you use with your molds?
Is the venting well enough to change the color of the tail and still vent well on the body
We will have to try this!
It would be a good video
I would like to say I went ahead and bought the mold. It’s one of the best shooting molds I own and the chartreuse tales work perfect. Thanks
Where can I find a price list and do you sell the baits?
Does it have a up and bottom on the mold
