Who else is stuck on listening to recommended Carl Cox live DJ sets? 😂 I've been consistently listening to his live mixes for the past three days and he is without a doubt one of the best DJ's out there. Isn't constantly reminding you on the mic who he is, just lets the music play, letting it speak for him and for the moment. The music is God, since God is sound and vibration. Our religion is dancing to the music. I feel the presence of the Divine in listening to this music and dancing to it, it electrifies me, it activates something in me, makes me feel like I have super powers, it makes all of my being come alive, it fills me with enthusiasm and hope. Keep house music alive, but above all, keep hope and faith in yourself alive. Lastly, there is no shame, there is no guilt, there is only Law, and sound and movement are Law, so move!!
For me in my kitchen streaming to a JBL flip speaker the sound quality is great... more than great... I'll tell you why. Back in the 1990s when I was actively raving we shared mix tapes. These things had been recorded and copied multiple times passed around mates, mangled in car tape decks, rewound by hand, dropped on floors kicked under sofas, sat on, soaked with beer sprinkled with ash, played and played until they were stretched and warped. Generally this added to the tape's historic value and made them become personal friends... the sound quality was utter crap but we did not care. We loved them. I guess if you have been born into prosperity you never know what it was like to be poor. But I do and I wouldn't change a thing. Still got those tapes... and they still play. Peace out and big love to the djs & to all who love dance music.
