    I have that EXACT gold magazine rack. Found it at an estate sale a few years ago. Yep, I use it...sometimes for magazines, sometimes for toilet paper storage in the bathroom, sometimes for large coffee-table sized books. I love it!

    From the angle, the wicker “chair” looked like a coffee table that’s missing a glass top! So cute! And I use magazine holders for my coffee table books. 😊

    As a college student, I use a rattan magazine rack from goodwill to hold my folders/planner/laptop so each day I can choose the ones I need to take. I can also hide my laptop cord behind it while it’s charging!

    Sometimes the brightly green (or orange, pink, or yellow) glasses and ceramics from the 1880-1940s (often called carnival glass, Burmese glass, depression glass, fiesta ware) is radioactive because radium was used to color it! My friend and I collect those kinds of piece (as long as you aren't eating off of it, it is safe!)

    OMG STOP, I bought that exact same gold watering can at 6:23 and I didn't realize there was a hole in the bottom and got water all over myself and my kitchen, BUT it's still v cute on my little plant table as decor and I'm glad I got it after all. Anywayz, I'm glad you liked our Buffalo Savers because it's one of my favorite places in the world! It's very hit or miss, but I've found most of my favorite ~treasures~ from there.

    When you live in Germany and t-shirt prices at thrift stores start at 10$ to 15$... Unfortunately we don’t have these big stores, only smaller ones and everything costs as much as in like H&M or is even more expensive because it’s claimed that it’s vintage or something

    Yes, prices are quite different. When I watch your thrifting trips, i am shocked how much more expensive it is. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and shop around for things...my daughter and I will contemplate buying something at regular price for 2.99! 😂

  • @Sarahhh
    @Sarahhh 6 лет назад

    I say thrifting everywhere can actually be good..everyone's style is different so even if u didn't find something you liked that doesn't mean ppl wouldn't find stuff they like. If u get what I'm saying. Location doesn't always define how well the store is it depends on what ppl donate and the time the items hit the sale floor but it was nice to see what it's like thrifting in Buffalo very similar to Canada

    So sad you had a less than stellar experience in the states. I live very close to that savers and I can say from experience it's not great. If you ever feel like coming back I'd recommend checking out places in Lewiston which is closer to the border for you, along with north Tonawanda. Driving a bit further to williamsville, Clarence, and some more curated places on Elmwood/Allen St in buffalo. I hope you decide to make another trip!

    Hello!! I've recently stumbled across your channel and I love it! I really love all the thrifting videos. I've noticed in some of your videos you say you repurpose things, I was wondering if you could make a video of ways you repurpose things or taking an object and using it as something else. I would like to get ideas for objects or a new mind frame for when I go to flea markets and thrift stores. Just a video idea! Love your channel!!

    Where do you live? And which thrift shops are the best? I live in Brampton so I was curious about your trip. Too bad you were disappointed. I was hoping you would have bought the brown horse sweatshirt? I really adore your dress also. There is a Value Village in Burlington which I hear is really good. I haven't been there yet since I'm camping out at home for now. There is also a good Talize in Mississauga at Dixie and Dundas. What about the prices in Buffalo? Are they cheaper than our prices here? And what about the exchange rate? Did you get any hassles when returning back into Canada. Do you think you would go again?

    Thrifting here is very hit or miss. I currently live in a huge city and the thrift stores here are hit or miss. I have my favorites and the rest I forget about. I lived in a tiny town where we had only one Goodwill and the Salvation Army was so decrepit that they finally closed it. But the prices at that small town Goodwill were better than they are here.

    I find the cushions for the popason chair. I know I spelled that wrong. But you know what I mean. Anyway I find the cushions pretty cheap in Tennessee. Decent ones for $20. Sometimes the chair and cushion for $20. Or I have seen them cheaper at garage sales. We had one once long time ago I got free on the side of the road. And a girl I worked with either gave me a cushion or I might have givin her $10. Anyway it was cheap. So if you like that kind of chair. You will be able to get it cheap and a cushion to go with it. They are pretty cool. I think i want to find one for my daughter who is in college. She shares a house with other students. Maybe she tries to not like what i like. Leslye
