  • Treatment notes, patient forms, and other communication templates now have some snazzy new text formatting options! ✨ 📝 You can add bold, italic, and underlined text to your notes. You can add lists. You can add indents! And paragraph breaks! And headings! 🤩
This is the start of some exciting new changes to come. We won’t spoil what those might be, so for now, Rachel will walk you through the new formatting options that are currently available, and you can read more about it over on the Cliniko Community!

Hi Cliniko, The new formatting results in me needing to manually click on each textbox in my treatment note. Is there anyway to get the tab capacity back to the treatment note?

Hi, Nicholas. We just released some improvements based on the feedback we've received. This includes bringing back the tab shortcut so it navigates between text boxes. Hope this helps.

Is there a way to hide the formatting toolbar on treatment notes?
(it's making my notes quite difficult to navigate through whilst I am writing them)

Thank you so much for your feedback, Stephen. The formatting toolbars have now be removed from the text boxes in treatment notes. The formatting options will still be available within treatment notes if you use keyboard shortcuts, or markdown but we will re-introduce formatting toolbars again later (when we can do so in a way that doesn't make it difficult to navigate through them, as you mentioned)

    Hi Cliniko,
    1. Can we bring back the “tab” function to skip to the next text box?
    2. Can the spacing be back to 1.0 when we click Enter, instead of having to manually click the Enter sign? As if I click enter on my keyboard it does a 1.5-2.0 spacing.
It almost feels a little slower to do my notes with this template editor right now! Hope these can be resolved. THank you

Hi, Kent. We recently made some improvements based on the feedback we've received. This includes bringing back the tab function so it navigates between text boxes and the "enter/return" behavior in Treatment notes. Hopefully this will help speed things back up for you.

Please revert these changes to treatment notes or add the functionality to turn these features off at will.

We went ahead and made some improvements based on all the recent feedback we've received. This includes, hiding the toolbars from treatment notes, bringing back the tab shortcut so it navigates between text boxes, and reverting the behavior of pressing enter/return in a treatment note back to a single line return.

      @@Cliniko Thank you. Much appreciated.
A huge single appeal of Cliniko is its simplicity. There are several more complicated, feature packed, and expensive practice management systems on the market. My practice chooses Cliniko for its simple and intuitive interface that is easy to navigate and to learn. There's no need to complicate the secret sauce here! Being able to toggle features on and off might be the way to go with interface updates like the one that was reverted this week.
      Thank you for your consideration.
